    Dear ILYM,

Use Bill Henderson's protocol with the Chemo.  We did that with my Mom 6 years ago.  She's still here today.  Do a coaching session with Bill, if you have any questions.  He is undoubtably one of the most compassionate and knowledgeable persons on this earth about alternatives.  His knowledge helped save my Mom.

    Blessings,

    Lisa

    Lisa,

So I bought Bill's book and am gathering the stuff for my mother.

I was wondering how closely are you following his program? What is your mother eating? Seems hard to just stay on fruits and veggies. For how long? Can you share your mom's diet plan with me, of possible?

Will she have to stay on this diet for the rest of her life?

One more question - I didnt see a source for protein in his plan. What is your mom eating?

They say protein is a must for chemo patients.

Didnt want to trouble Bill unecessarily and thought I will check with you first.

    Hi ILYM,

Here is a typical day for mom:

Green tea with Stevia while she reads the paper and does the crossword.

Breakfast is organic (No sugar) oatmeal with 2 tbsp. ground flax along with the FO/CC and fresh blueberries and raspberries.

Water with Lemon all day.  One half body weight in oz.

Lunch is Vegetable soups and salads made with lots of garlic and onions, tumeric and rosemary.  She uses Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Coconut Oil for her fats.

She nibbles on Brazil Nuts for snacks, and may have some Organic Cheese on rare occasion.

    She juices dayly with:

    2-4 carrots

    2 stalks celery

2 apples (small gala seeds and all)

    large bunch red grapes

    1 beet (tops and all)

    1" piece gingeroot

    2 oranges

Stems of Broccoli and Califlower (trimmed from bottom)

Dinner is same as lunch or lightly steamed broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, sweet potatoes, califlower.

She eats tilapia and wild salmon lightly sauteed with olive or coconut oil with lots of tumeric, rosemary, garlic.  She uses a natural salt for flavoring.

She has trouble chewing, so she can't do lots of raw, but that is recommended.  She is on a lot of supplements:

    Source of Life Liquid Vitamins

    Essiac Tea

    FrequenSea

    NCD Zeolites

    Oxy-E

    Ellagic Health Insurance Formula

    Host Defense

    Melatonin

She's going to be 83 in June.  Is still here after stage 3c ovarian in 2002 and stage 4 BC last year.  I'm talking to her on the phone right now, and she sounds fantastic!  In addition, it is a must in my opinion to do a colon cleanse and a liver and gall bladder cleanse.  You can find those in one of my posts today.  Remain on this diet until there is NED.  Continue with it after that, but can have occaisional treats.  My Mom drinks organic red wine, and has a piece of dark chocolate now and then.  She rarely has dessert that's not healthy.  Had you read in another post about her recent test results.  The axillary tumor has shrunk by 1.5 centimeters since last measurement in June!

    Hugs,

    Lisa

Natural proteins usually consist of: Beans, nuts & organic eggs are just a few.  Also Whey protein drinks are excellent.  Get one with no carbs. Whey has good cancer fighting stuff to go with it.

I have my mom on a PH Balanced diet.  Which pretty much consists of what is above, other than she has a "green juice" which consists of the highly alkaline veggies....anything green...Leafy greens contain Chlorrphyl (spelling??) which as well as being highly alkaline it is a tumor inhibitor and carries lots of oxygen...all of which cancer hates.  Cancer likes highly acidic and low oxygenated blood.  My mom has mets to liver, so we are very cautious about the herbs and supplements that go into her body, as the liver has to prcess everything, and we do not want the chemo to be effected by high amounts of antioxidants in supplement form.  My mom went from widespread and extensive mets to liver and bones, to only 2 teeny spots on liver to go before she will be NED.  She had what the docs call a "Dramatic response to treatment".  All veggies carry some sort of protein....my mom has thyroid disease so she has to stay away from soy protein, plus the onc said soy is not good for cancer treatment, it inhibits the action of some of the drugs she is on to fight the cancer.  But there are plenty of protein options out there. My mom feels great, she runs a mile or more a day even through chemo, she has no side effects from chemo either.  She feels better today than she did prior to cancer.  My mom loves cauliflower and part of the PH miracle diet, it says that studies have shown that cauliflower can inhance the drug Herceptin to make it twice as powerful.  Well my mom is testimony to it...because in 4 months she is almost NED.

    Hope your mom is well,

    Michelle

Thanks Michelle and Lisa - I would also appreciate if you could share the supplements you guys are using for your moms.

I have so far bought DIM, VeggieMAMA and Alkaline drops, Greet Tea extract, Wheat grass pills and Apricot Kernels

I have heard about Barely Power also. I will get the ones mentioned in Bill's book also but was wondering if i am missing anything.

I want to stay away from antioxidant supplements while she is on Chemo and i dont want anything to slow down chemo effectiveness.

    So what am i missing?

    Dear ILYM,

She also uses a Green Powder Drink.  Can't remember the name.  She was using it in her smoothie's she made until the weather got cold.  It has all the spirulina, chlorella, etc, in it.  We got PH strips and she was testing her saliva PH every morning. When we started the protocol she was at 6.0, and she has gotten it up to 7.4.  Our goal is to get it up to 8.0.  From all my study of alkaline/acid balance, that should revert the cell to commit apoptosis.  Good Luck and God Bless!

My mom doesn't take supplements per se, she gets her supplements through food sources.  She has other medical condition that she has to watch what supplements she takes in because of the interaction with her other meds not related to the cancer.

She does have her green tea each day, and to cleanse her liver she squeezes fresh lemons in her water, lemons may seem to be acidic along with other citrus...however once it is in the body it becomes alkaline when broken down.  She sprinkles wheat germ power on her oatmeal in the AM, and takes flax seed oil and fish oils.  To help with her cholesterol she eats a couple of cloves of fresh garlic a day...she chops it up and lets it sit for 10 mins then swallows it.  She also takes 2 tablespoons of olive oil each day, it helps the liver break down the toxins better.

If she needs sugar on something she exchanges it with stevia...it doesn't effect blood glucose.  And you want to keep the sugar out of the blood.  I have also been looking into Turmeric, it is known for enhancing Herceptin also, there have been studies about it.  So, my mom is not a curry fan so I am researching ways to get it into her food supply without resorting to pill form.  Trouble with pills is they mix it with other things and I am not sure what things they use, that is why the doc told her no garlic supplements just fresh garlic.

Everything she does mostly comes in a food source, and so far it has worked tremendously.

    Hugs,

    Michelle
