Anyone have trouble getting pregnant after tx.?
Comments

We've been trying for nearly a year and have not had luck.
Have any of you tried IVF? Has anyone tried any other fertility treatments? I am a little worried, because I am a triple negative, and I don't know if there is any issue of my suddenly becoming er/pr+ because of doing this sort of thing.I need all the thoughts you can give on this, please! I want another baby-despite the disapproving looks I get from some when I say that. I have waited the time my docs have told me to wait, and they say I am healthy enough to do this. My ovaries are working (although a bit irregular with a 26-31 day cycle, vs. before when it was EXACTLY 28 days to the minute).
Ok, that's all!
Thanks ladies-I love you all!
Love and prayers, Deb -
Hi Deb,
I am hoping to try for a baby by the end of this yr. My onc not really for it, but she thought it will take about 3 yrs after chemo to really be ok. She warned against any fertility tx. Have you thought of going to a Homeopath? We have a homeopath here who is performing miracles with natural remedies and diet!
Good luck!

What homeopath stuff are you doing, exactly? I haven't thought about that route.
Also, why no fertility tx? Because of the horomone issue? I just dont' know if that is something for a triple neg. to fear.
So confusing. -
Hey girl,
I don't want to start anything bad but....I believe that my in-vetro contributed to my cancer rearing it's ugly head.
I spent $20k....it didn't work. 2 yrs later....cancer. I am trip neg too.
A friend of mine did a colon cleanse and bam! pregnant.
Good luck girl. I know what it means to want a baby.

i just wanted to add that I did a round of ivf and egg harvesting in between surgery and chemo. i was treated at one of the top hospitals for both cancer and fertility preservation. all my docs said one round... essentially two weeks of high hormone levels wouldn't make a difference, i had cancer for years already. later this year, i will be using those embryos to get pregnant.
you could always go to a reproductive endo and talk abotu your options. there are things like iui that don't require the same amount of drugs. if you're ovulating, you may not need the hormonals.
