No More Tap Water

The following link describes a report that Michigan Senator Carl Levin is trying to get released. It has been suppressed. One of the water danger zones cited in this report is my water supply.

It will be bottled water only for me from now on.

My father purchased a residential water distiller for us, which - once installed by a plumber - can provide you with an endless supply of distilled water to drink, cook with, etc.
It may be worth considering.

Lioness, I have a water filtration system too.Because bottled water is another twisted road to walk. Some bottled waters are tested & found to be TAP WATER!
And even real spring water--if it isnt in clear, heavy plastic, there is leeching of plastic chemicals into the water. The opaque plastic bottles do this.
I hauled gallons of Poland Spring in clear bottles all through my chemo, and for 2 years after.Until I bought a condo and had a SmartWater system installed on my kitchen sink.
It is cheap--under $100.You get a little seperate faucet which pours your clean, lovely filtered water.
Every 6 months or so, you replace the cannisters.
Home Depot.
It's MUCH cheaper than a whole house system.Everyone who sees mine gets one, ncluding my plumber!
Cheers!

I too gave up tap as a concession to bc. Does anyone know of a good filter you can merely screw into the sink faucet? Dont really need whole house.

We went with a full house carbon filtering system. This was based on a write up done by Andrew Weil. Essentially he said that tap water was not fit for human consumption in most places both in the US and abroad. He suggested the carbon filtering
quote "I'm now in favor of a system that combines a solid carbon block filter with a copper-zinc alloy called KDF. This dual system removes most impurities and is affordable and simple. The KDF puts small amounts of copper and zinc into the water, which is healthful. " We did some research and went with the "Waterboy" system here in San Diego. Then I had the water tested again, to be sure that what the system boasted about was true.... all the tests came back in excellent results. So our entire house is now on that system. Wasn't cheap, but then again, what is your wife's life worth? Whatever it takes for her to regain, and maintain her health is worth every penny.

I've been looking into the distilled water system. It offers more in terms of removing dangerous chemicals. I don't even want to bathe or shower in my water anymore with what I am learning.
We own rental property over 300 miles north of where we live. We always use bottled spring water up there because my bowels can't handle the well water. Every trip without fail, my intestinal problems straighten up. This has been going on for 15 years.
And I have consistantly ignored the importance of it by chalking it off as "Well I'm more relaxed up there", or "the environment is more soothing" etc. What a load of crap! Often I am more stressed when I am up there, because I am doing a move out, or an apartment turn and working my tail off so I can hurry up and come back home to the stress down here.
GEEEEZ .......................................... I have to get cancer to listen up and do right by myself?
It's enough evidence to me that I am on the right track here. I just failed to put myself first.
As far as testing your water, you only get results for what it's being tested for! I already know enough. The distilled water system sounds way safer to me.

What are some brands of the distilled system?
