Does anyone out there belong to Weight Watchers?  I go to Curves 3-5 times a week and have done their 6-week Nutrition Solution class, but still feel it is not enough.

My question is:  I read about a Monthly Pass with Unlimited monthly meetings.  What I am trying to find out is can this pass be used anywhere or ONLY at the place you originally register at?  I know meetings are $12 per meeting and you can go anywhere and was wondering does the pass work in the same way exept a better deal?

    Thanks,

    Judy

    Judy:

I believe you can use the pass at any WW meeting, just like you can go to a WW meeting in another city to help you stay on target.

I'm back on WW after recovering from my bilat mastectomy.  My onc and PS both think it is the most sensible way of eating and are encouraging me to stick with the program!

    All the best to you!

    Hi Cat

Nice meeting you.  I wish you the very best in your recovery and their after.

Are you using the POINTS system in WW or the Nutrition System?  I want to try the POINTS and see how that works.

Are you paying for meetings as you go?  Are you doing it ONLINE or did you buy the Monthly Pass yourself?

What it sounds like from what you responded is that I can go to another state or just city once I register and attend their meetings, is that correct?

    Thanks,

    Judy

Hi Judy -- Yes, with the monthly pass you can go to any meeting in any U.S. location that honors the monthly pass.  There are some WW locations that don't, but you can check the WW website to be sure.  I am a lifetime member who is still within goal weight and would be happy to answer any questions.

Also, another advantage to the monthly pass is that it gives you access to the subscription area of the WW site.  This has additional recipes, message boards, point trackers (you enter the info and it calculates the point for you) and more.

Loved the monthly pass with online perks, especially where you can enter your own recipe ingredients and it will calculate the points per serving.

You can go to any meeting in any state as often as you want, but can only weigh once per week. The pass is the cheapest way too. The message boards are free, just sign in and ask some questions first if you want.

The message boards are like the ones here, only about WW. Plus they talk about other stuff too.

    Judy:

I'm on the points system, and have found it works really well for me.  I bought the pass because that saves me the most money.

If you need an on-line buddy, I would love to volunteer!   We can cheer each other on!

I joined weight watchers about one month ago.  I feel I am really motivated this time as the research shows that extra weight = higher recurrance rate.  Yikes!

I have found some great items that are tasty but low points.  Fiber One bars, very high fiber breads, high fiber cereals, smoothies using yogurt and frozen berries from costco...with banana.  I do the point system and use the on-line tools with the monthly pass.  I really like it.

Please count me in on a support group for losing weight.  So far I ahve lost 7 lbs.  Feel great and exercise a lot.
