Any one into LOST or FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS?!

Jas/AlwaysHope: you can only have Sawyer (for a little bit) if you tell me how to download Kris Allen's Heartless perfomance (AI) to my phone!
-
Well pooh, I have no idea how to download music to a phone. I still don't even have text messaging. There should be instructions on the site you are using to download the music.

Sahalie - I love to read your posts. Keep 'em coming girlfriend! BTW, where do you suppose they've got Daniel, or at least, his body?

Oh my gosh, I am so freaking confused and delerious (sp?), and overjoyed and amazed. I kept telling my hubby (who HATES to watch Lost with me because I won't shut up) that this is the Lost we knew and loved! They were kind of off last season/beginning of this season-too many pieces of the puzzle at once.
Last night was fantastic! I tried to read the Anubis stuff, but my glossed-over-eyes-Slurpee-brain-freeze is keeping me from absorbing it very well. Can someone translate it for dummies like me?
I thought Sawyer was FANTASTIC in this episode. I have always liked him, because he always would show a teensy bit of his soft underbelly and vulnerability. Last night when he fought like hell to save Juliet, and the INTENSE sobs that cam from him really amazed me. That was so real to me, because Juliet and Sawyer made it that way. Juliet finally showed a vulnerable side with her tears, and now I am fascinated to see if her setting off the bomb allowed her to survive?
I, too, thought the Jacob thing was fascinating. I bought a book right after Christmas that is about Lost and all of the Biblical references and connections. I truly think they have Jacob as the equivalent to God, and the other guy is satan. Jesus died to save us, and perhaps Jacob died to save them. He laid out the groundwork to ensure the "right" people were going to be there. He had his hand in every situation, just like God.
He was indeed very yummy. I like the gentle-nature in a man (that is why I married my hubby, he carries that same gentleness).
We tried to rewind and go in slow motion to see how many toes Jacob had in the beginning. We couldn't tell.
OH! Another question.....Is Christian (Jack's Dad) in cahoots with the devil-John Locke guy? Like, was Christian really the devil guy when we'd see him in the cabin we thought belonged to Jacob?
I'm so confused. I have a zillion questions.
-
I also believe Jacob is the equivalent of Gd. Satan on the other hand as we've been taught, can take on many forms at will. Temptation and all that. Hurtful. Deception.
Good versus Evil on this island that I now believe is a portal, a loophole from one life to another.
One dimension backwards or forwards at will. I do believe and hope that Jacob will resurrect.
If he is supposed to be the equiv. of Gd he will always be on the island. We don't know if this has happened to him before. Ben stabbing him. Ben as Judas the betrayer but we would be knocked out of our socks if Ben surprised us with compassion. Cannot happen to any degree because he is "Ben" after all. We like our "Ben" crazy eyed and a sleeking sleuth.
There are so many characters, each with a plethora of stories and meanings. I love it. This show for those of us wrapped up in it is our mind game each Wednesday night. Our psyche crossword puzzle. I hope next season the writers also leave scenarios unanswered just in case . . . .
As for Daniel. Hmm. I would guess he is wrapped up cozy in 1977 and since it didn't really happen * or did it? In the new season we will see Daniel again. After all, his Mom Eloise becomes a integral part of moving people about.
About Christian Shepherd and John Locke as not so nice. I feel that is Satan in their form.
Wasn't Jacob touching each ones lives so gently and saying what he did to each, speaking impeccable foreign languages when needed so enlightening and refreshing.
Did you jump out of your seat when Sayids gal pal got wham blasted in the street?
Ann. Thank you for your kind words. I just love this show. My family is wrapped around it like homemade butter crust on a fresh cherry pie. It is just so yummy and mind expanding.
I remember Jacobs last words were "they are coming" and sure enough the group came onto the beach carrying the real John Locke's body. The words between the girl and Richard must be sought out and translated. It was obviously their code to let one another know who they were but I want to know what the words mean. Anyone get that part or know the answer?
One more thing as the ideas are coming at light speed. You know how the foot or Paw with the four toes at one time is a whole statue. Pretty sure is Anubis but we shall see. Then only the foot or paw is left and continues to be Jacobs home. So obviously it was blown to smithereens before.
I wonder if the island just keeps repeating itself over and over again. I better stop while I'm a head. The intrigue is addictive.
Also the ring found in little Aaron's cradle. I just figured out the DS stands for Charlie's band "DriveShaft" the band he had with his brother in England. But it's a family heirloom so how can that be?
Back to square one and loving it all the way.
-
The ring is an heirloom?
I was struck and intrigued by the entire opening dialogue with Jacob and Dark Guy. What was it? Something along the lines of "it's the same thing, they come, they destroy, it's not going to work." Then Jacob says it will work. Then Dark Guy said something I don't remember, and Jacob's answer was "everything before it is progress."
So one of the questions I kept hurling at my hubby (who hates to watch Lost with me, you may remember!) was are they essentially in a time loop? Did Jacob go the the passengers because he knew they would be the ones to fight Evil and overcome?
I love the reference to Judas. When Lost is back on next season, can you call me and then tell me all the wonderful secrets you've spotted?
When Richard whacked Eloise, he said he was "protecting their leader." Who was he referring to? Was he referring to Eloise or Jacob? Or someone else?!?
Ow. My head hurts!
-
Crap, fell asleep last night during the show. After reading all the posts, I am even more confused. Better find the station running all the re-runs so I can try to catch up!
I agree with most, definately would not kick Sawyer out of bed for eating crackers!!!

From LOST trivia.
The Christmas Liam gave me the ring
Charlie's other great moment is the time his brother gives him the DS ring. DS stood for Dexter Stratton, their grandfather.
We find out that the ring is to stay in the family. Liam gives Charlie the ring, because Liam felt that he would not live long enough to pass it on to his child. The irony of it all is that Liam got sober and ended up a family man. Charlie became a drug addict, lost on an island without a family, had it not been for Claire and Aaron.
Just before Charlie is to leave with Desmond to face his suicide mission, Charlie leaves the ring to Aaron, by discretely leaving it inside Aaron's crib.Richard hit Eloise so he can protect her and tells Jack he's on his own.
When Jacob is weaving the thread, we can see the part of the tapestry that's already been made with a phrase in Greek on it.
It means, "may the gods grant thee all that thy heart desires."
The phrase is from Homer's The Odyssey.

Be prepared for this freaky picture of Daniel.
Do you see what I see. What the picture taker sees?
Look closely. Very closely.
-
I got it... no left foot!
-
I wonder if it's on purpose or photochopped. Wierd. Now to get ready for tonight;s Survivor.
