    My mom is dying in hospice care and dad, sis, brother, and I need strength to allow mom to die in peace.  Friends were up all night praying the rosary for mom and today she lies in a hospice bed totally sedated.  I just called Dad and he is sitting in the car crying like a little child.  The whole family is falling apart and I am barely keeping it together.  I've light candles, prayed, and even called on mom's sibblings and parents who have moved on to please greet her in heaven.  I don't know what else to do.  Please, Please sisters and brothers pray for us.

    Thank you.

    Odalys...you are doing the right things. Slow down, pray, we will all pray for you, and then settle into the peace and the beautiful memories of your mom and all that she has been for you...

    So sorry...

    Truly, it is in the darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us. God is near to you all now, lean on him, we'll pray for him to keep you all in his arms and to let mom be in peace.

    Sweet sister -

    Please know that all of us are pray for you along with all the angels in heaven.  They are waiting to welcome your dear mother home.

    Heavenly Father - I pray now for your peace for Odalys and all her family.  Wrap them in your loving arms and keep them close.  Welcome her mother into her heavenly home with songs of joy.  Bless all those who will be left behind with your grace.

    In Jesus Name

    Amen

    I pray for your Mom, Odalys, that she be welcomed with open arms by the many sisters who proceed her.

    I pray for your Father, whose partner in life is being taken.

    I pray for you and your siblings and family: a loss of a Mom, Sister, loved one is a time filled with grief.

    May you feel many arms around you today.

    Tender

    Odalys, my prayers for you and your family.  It's hard even when we know, our loved one will be welcomed with open arms.

    Serenity Prayer

    God grant me the serenity,
    To accept the things I cannot change,
    The courage to change the things I can,
    And the wisdom to know the difference.

    Living one day at a time;
    Enjoying one moment at a time;
    Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
    Taking, as you did, this sinful world as it is,
    not as I would have it;
    Trusting that you will make all things right
    if I surrender to your will;
    That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
    And supremely happy with you forever in the next.

    My dear sister,

    I am so sorry you are going through such pain.  So very sorry.  I wish I could be by your side and offer a shoulder to cry upon.

    Dear Lord, Please strengthen Odalys and her entire family as they wait for her Mom to enter your heavenly kingdom.  I pray that whatever time remains for Odalys' Mom is time of peace and serenity.  Amen.

    Once again this wonderful bc.org community helps me through a very dark time in my life.

    I want to share with you a pic of the beautiful afghan the Circle Girls made for me.

    I'm wrapped in this beautiful afghan that Liz and the girls sent me yesterday.  The timing was perfect.  It arrived five minutes after I had walked in the door from Mami's burial. I wrapped myself in it and slept for 5 hours!

    I am touched by such love and generosity.  Words can not explain my gratitude. Thank you sisters and brothers for all the love and support you've shown me during this very difficult time.

    God bless you all.
