Has anyone had fresh pasta from scratch? My bf made it for me on Saturday night and it was amazing! I couldn't believe how different it tastes from dehydrated, boxed pasta! He also made a tasty sauce from a variety of olives, tomato sauce and various spices, along with some lime flavor. Incredible!

I have been making it fresh for years--almost like a different food, isn't it?

I would hold on to any guy who makes it from scratch!!  That really tells me something about his character.

I make my own all the time.  I make all different kinds...spinach, pumpkin and mushroom are my favorite.

I buy dried, powdered spinach and add about 3 tablespoons for each egg in the recipe.  The pumpkin one I add 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin for each egg, then I make a sauce that is garlic, olice oil, basil and chopped toasted pumpkin seeds with slivered prochuto (sp) ham...YUM.  The mushroom one is my favortie.  We gather Morel mushrooms each spring and I dry them.  The I put them in the food processer and make them into a coarse powder.  I add 2 tablespoons of that powder for each egg.  The noodles are SO good in soup or with a veggie stir-fry...not to mention with alfredo sauce.

My mom raises ducks and I love to make noodles with duck eggs.  Yet have more protein than hen's eggs and make wonderful pasta.  I also use whole wheat flour for about 1/3 of the flour.

    Now I'm hungry...
