I have been looking for a way to increase my protein intake through a protein mix/drink.  I became lactose intolerant from Chemo so I can't do the whey products. My breast cancer was ER+ & PR+ so soy products are out of the question. Does anyone know of anything out there that doesn't contain these things? I need these for when I'm working so I need convenience! Thanks for any input ahead of time!

That's a tough one, Chattie. I make mine from the powdered whey protein and put a scoop in a bottle of Snapple. How much protein is in rice milk, I wonder?

If I come across an idea, I'll post it....

Marin,  Thanks for your input.  I'm really at a loss!!!  I will look at the rice milk products tomorrow.

    Thanks again!   Chattie

The whey protein has almost no lactose, from what I understand. Ultimate Lo-Carb whey in vanilla is my favorite. I put it on my cereal or mix it with Carnation instant breakfast and water.

Well, I just researched a little. Look at some websites, and there are several "more expensive/high end" wheys without lactose. They are made from a protein isolate, not directly from milk sources.

    Good luck.

I found one but it was fortified with iron. It would be good to find one without growth hormones though.  Well back to square one.

NutriBiotic Vegan Rice protein is one I like and is free of soy milk and egg proteins.   Per serving it has 1/2 of the protein from the whey protein I use .

Would whey isolate be ok?  There's a 100% all natural whey protein product by North Coast Naturals....
