I have only seen and photographed the white ones with the yellow egg-yolk centres! I can't believe the range of colours!!!!

Good grief Barbe....another straight horizon? And I thank you for telling me yrs ago that cloudy nights were waaaay batter than clear nights. I honestly don't think I believed that, but now I truly know it as fact

Hi SoCalLisa - do you live in Mission Beach area?  Have you been to Saska's Steak House on Mission Beach Blvd..  been there over 60 yrs,,,  they have tasty food,  just curious.  also you take great photographs, is that just a hobby or you are a photographer/ 

and hello to all the Beach lovers on here,,,  i love summer and the beach!  my summer has been a very challenging one this year but day by day - trying to find peace with everything that has happened since may.

I was at the Beach today first time with my family since my MX 7 wks ago - this is Ra, my Mom, me, My Aunt Tre and oldest cousin Karen who is 53 and like an older sister  - I have gone alone to go for a few walks to meditate at our other big beach but today was nice with my Mom and Aunt and cousins,,,  trying to rebuild my new normal!  hugs to all -

I don't live at the beach but it is less than half an hour away

 Fifty years ago I did live in Mission Beach. It was right after I had graduated from college. I used to hang out at Saskas. We loved the bar and would have Shish Kebab when we had enough money. I had a ground floor apartment and it was only a couple of steps to the beach. Those were the days.

Nancy, it's the Delaware Bay. We have a place at Hideaway Beach Campground and it extends down to the bay. It's on Route 47 just past Reed's Beach.

I know where it is - my sister and her husband have a place at Reed's Beach..

Barbe, does this redeem me? I truly think this is perhaps best sunset pic at our bay. Might retire with this one  (Nah...we all know I won't but had to say it!!)  I keep remembering the advice to take pics when it's cloudy, that the best sunsets happen then. This was with camera, not phone
