LIFE'S A BEACH!

This shot made me miss KK she and I shared this bad habit.
-
Mum, have a good trip..I love those beach shots..maybe the tidepools is where I would head to..
-
Mum, great shots, love the beach.
-
great pix!!!
-
Mum, great shots, and I would have loved to have shared that wine and cake with you!
We didn't go down the bay today...too darned hot and we had a bunch of errands that took longer than planned. Here's a cool shot from a couple weeks ago though.
-
Those are just clouds in case you're wondering...not mountains! We thought we wouldn't be able to get any good shots because it was so cloudy but we drove down there anyway. I was pleasantly surprised
-
good time on the beach, Mary..bet you are loving it..
-
Mary, that is the BEST shot I've seen from you!!! You MUST get it enlarged and framed!!! Or as a poster (from Walmart!!) Seriously, sweetie!! (You DO need to straighten out your horizon, though....
)
-
I prefer a cloudy day to do my photos in. In sunshine, you have to deal with shadows and whites blowing out (losing detail). But in shade you get the "real" colour and contrast without the exageration of light. On the other hand, I do shoot differently in sun, taking that detail into consideration.
Without clouds the sunset isn't as pretty. The clouds in Mary's picture above make a STUNNING contrast to the light!!! And the beach looks eerie...truly a GREAT shot!!! Also loving the foreground detail, and the blacks in the water are really sharp!! Did I say I LOVE this shot???
-
lol Barbe, glad you liked it! Ready for this? It was taken with my cell phone! I aim (kind of), point and shoot. I get lucky a lot! That particular night it was hard to take a bad picture, it was really breathtaking how cool everything looked.
-
The sunset is amazing. Great shot!!!
-
Love it..
-
Hey ladies, would love to know how to upload a pix. Love the pix on this thread by everyone.
-
Lez, it's different for everyone. For me, I put the pic in my Facebook pictures, then I right-click, copy, then right-click and paste here. If that doesn't work for you, I'm sure others will chime in with other ways to do pics!
-
Mary, seriously, it's the BESTEST shot I've seen from you, phone or not!!!! Maybe it was the quickness of the shot to catch the sun that made you not "over think" the shot????
My daughter would only take pics of my grandson Zach when he was looking at the camera and they all began to look the same. One day he wouldn't look up as his attention was caught elsewhere. It became my favourite shot!! (I just tried to copy-and-paste and it won't do it as it's my screen saver!)
-
We bought a new camera this weekend, maybe I'll get some pictures taken.....
-
marlegal- thanks. That would work if I have Facebook but I don't. I'll figure it out.
barbe1958. My son had to show me how to save a pix for my screensaver. I would share it but...lol
-
Leeza there is a link here
How to get a picture posted on the forums
on BCO
I use photobucket or picasanet can just copy and paste
-
Oh, and for me I have to use Explorer as a webbrowser.the others don't let me..
-
Calming beach
-
Lezza, I can MAKE a pic become a screen saver, I just can't make the screen saver pic become just a pic again!! Go figure...sigh.
-
Where is my momma?
-
Awww....where was that adorable seal?
-
Here Mary
-
We get those cuties here in Washington. Tourists are always thinking they need to be rescued even though signs are posted at all beach accessroads telling them the mothers are just letting them rest while she feeds.
-
love the baby seals, thanks for sharing. Great pic.
-
Here is Momma
-
chabba, that's so sweet about the signs!!! I would certainly be worried seeing a baby all by itself...thinking the worst of the mommy. I'm old enough to rememeber all those pictures of baby seals being slaughtered.....the red, red blood on the white, white snow.......!!! I guess they don't slaughter baby seals on the sandy beaches, eh??
-
it's a different kind of seal, too. These pics are of harbor seals. The kind they used to kill were fur seals - but the pictures were horrific!
-
Looks like Momma is resting peacefully.
