Is no one at the beach lately? I miss everyone's sand in my keyboard.
-
It is a beautiful beach day here..but I am getting over a cold/flu
-
Nice Lisa-the picture not the flu! dang ad sorta spoils it though.
-
but it is beautiful outdoors..
-
Lisa - do hope you get to feeling better soon. Love the beach when the waves are coming in.
-
I am going to be away again for a few weeks. Will be back with photos of birds and beaches.
Here is one of tinyfishy's latest. Screech owl

Have a gentle, cleansing holiday Mum. I hope you come back to beautiful clear Spring weather here!!

ohh, the little guy looks lonely to me!..3jays
-
-
The photographer said probably a juvenile eagle.
-
By the size of his feet, he's going to be a BIG one!!!!
-
Bald Eagles are big.
-
Sure looks like a juvenile. Love to watch them soar.
-
So the Bald Eagle loses hair as it grows older....hmmm. Do they try comb-overs like Donald Trump for a couple of years first?
-
you crack me up, Barbe..
Joseph Prince preached on that last week, qouting the verse about waiting, and rising up like the eagles.. he said that in nature, they go high in a nest, as they age, shed their feathers, and regrow them, strong as young adoloscents.. ever heard that in nature, to be true? cabba? anyone???
-
They live in "aeries". I get that word a lot in Crossword Puzzle books.
-
Can you believe this is less than an hour from our real beaches...?
-
-
Dawn on the bay
.
-
Oh my! These pictures make my soul ache....
-
3jaysmom, Birds do get new feathers as adolescents. Afterwards, they shed a little at a time so they're always getting new ones. DS used to band birds and they use the feather pattern to tell age.
Chabba, What was the temperature during that clam digging? We went once when we first moved here and I've never been so cold in my life.
-
Wren, I'm sorry but I don't know. The pictures are from our local paper. They had a just for fun contest for clam digging pictures and these are some of the "best" that were published on their website. That is where I find almost all of the pictures I post. I don't have a camera.

What a wack-doodle chapter people.
From Vegas I flew into FL... then next day flew to OH to be with daughter and her surgery -- that ended up being more involved than hoped. I stayed over a week and flew back to FL so that I could fly on to IL. Anyhow, I was hardly in FL for 12 hours and the squad took DD back to hospital.
Long story short -- they are still sorting out what's wrong. Catscan in emergency room indicated nothing horrific wrong. She had an MRI just this afternoon and we await that news.
OK. The rest of the story? DH decided to DRIVE from FL to OH to pick up the twinzee-kids to spend somewhere between 3 + 4 weeks here with us -- to allow her to recover. Today marks week #1 completion. He managed the both of them on his own the 18 hours and 3 days before I got back!!!
This man needs some sort of medal-of-honor.
We spent the day at the gulf yesterday -- got there only to find the actual public beach 'closed' due to their adding truck loads of sand. GEEEEEESH...... we went there because our pool's pump went out and they're awaiting a part. This little romp of water was just sufficient for fun and exploration. The best part of all is that we had a private 'dolphin' show and that was seriously THRILLING for all of us!!!!!
Miss you guys like crazy.
Even more amazing???? Beyond have twin 3 year olds, short one month from their 4th birthday?
I am in the running for a contract from a 'big' educational publishing company for the Early Childhood community -- they want me to write them a book by July!!!!!!!!!! They want it ready for their 2013 catalogue. I am submitting an outline tonight.
If we move forward with this project, I probably will splash here even 'less' frequently. Bizarro!
It's a HUGE opportunity if I can pull it together on this time-table.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

P.S. sorry the twinzee picture was so huge......
It was either billboard size or thumbnail minerature. Can you believe they're nearing their 4th b-day?
-
Faith you are way too busy...glad you seem to be doing so well...hugs for your daughter..
-
Evidence of our winter storms (not all from this year though)
Edited to add: See how far it is from the shoreline in the upper left corner?
