    Doing fine. Finally sleeping. Going on a bucket list cruise on January for my brithday which should produce great new beach pix. San Juan to Barbados. We are having a 600 page party to we need to get there. Only 7 to go.

    BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG News!!!!!

    My husband just walked in the door with my portfolio of quilts -- all 18 that were missing for exactly two weeks. THEY ARE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My over 5 years of work has been returned!!!! I have it all back in my possession!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just have been able to exhale. I've been down on my knees, unable to breathe (literally) and thanking all the saints in heaven, SAINT at the top of the list.

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    O M G Faith - Saint(s) be praised indeed!!!!  I had no doubt you would get them back either, but if you don't tell us the whole story, we're all going to die of curiosity!!!  And over 9,000 posts?  Wowsers, and I thought I talked a lot :)  Ha!  By the way - thanks for the nice words on the other site about the video shoot - I will be sure to post the link when I'm given permission, don't worry :)  And your writing about how this thread has held you together?  Man, does that mirror all of us, or what? You put it sooo well, as only you can do.  What a gift for words you have dear friend.  Okay, next couple posts will include pics of my day at our trailer down the shore (Delaware Bay for those who don't know)  This is probably my last weekend here, but we can't close up yet ... hub will do that solo next week or week after but I will be busy both of those weekends.  Anyway, watch for gorgeous sunset pics ladies

    sunset was 6:10 ... we got there at 6:07 and it really was like - here you see me, here you don't ... this was first shot as we got out of the car to walk on the beach toward the water

    and seriously, about 30 seconds later, we got this shot.  I love how the sun is reflected right at the water's edge... see it?

    this might be one of my all time favorite pictures ... look how the sky writer and all the clouds are pointing the same way ... isn't that cool???

    then this shot was as we were getting back in the car - Denis almost screamed at me - "turn around take a shot NOW!!!!"  I just love those lines in the sky, ya know?  thank heavens for good little cameras :)

    Some of the details:

    So exactly two weeks ago (in another 3 hours) I realized as we arrived having driven 11.5 hours from Columbus State to Door Co, WI.... that the black leather portfolio filled to the brim with 15 quilts from RWB and my favorite 3 from YW were not in the car -- that they had been left on the side of Grove street somehow in the re-packing of the car. Before dawn the next morning, we called our dear friend Brett a CS student & he went around the campus posting reward posters. We called security on a daily basis yada yada.

    This morning hubby Allen drove down to the campus to do his own personal investigation, spoke to security scoured the building where I presented, did a canvas of the campus etc etc. He then drove north to OSU to pick up our great-neice who is here spending the night tonight, and as soon as she got in the car his cell phone rang. In those few minutes in the interim, student Missy noticed one of the reward posters and realized that it must be the porfolio that had been tucked into the computer lab where she studied. So Allen and lucky-charm neiceie drove back to that campus.

    So somehow they walked across the street and down to a new & different building and got 'stowed' in the computer lab for the 14 days of my agony. Strangely, my name and email address were right on the exterior handle. I don't think anyone ever even unzipped the thing to see what was inside. In any case, Missy put it all together and made the call...... then she absolutely refused the reward, saying that she'd only made a phone call. Seriously, she refused the reward!! My head is still turning about that! Blessings will always follow her. My Catholic yoga friend, Mickey had suggested first to pray to St. Anthony and gave me the prayer: "Tony, Tony look around...... something's lost and must be found." In the two weeks interim, I added about 20 additional verses beseaching him. We became quite good buddies.

    I think it's safe to say that I had a "blanket" and outpouring of prayer that crossed the country, crossed religions & denominations & cultures & even countries -- asking & hoping for a happy ending. I feel as though I have won the super lottery, the Super Bowl and then gotten a hole in one in the same morning. I seriously couldn't unzip it/the portfolio for the longest time. Then I just stayed on my knees for the next hour. Then as I finally saw them again I literally had to lay prostrate on the floor.

    THANKS to EVERYONE involved in the praying, hoping, wishing for their safe return. What was 'eerie' was last night, no less than 6 different people asked me if they had been returned. It must have been the collective concern that turned the corner.

    faith, in my house growing up, it was ... Dear Saint Anthony, please come around, something is lost and cannot be found.  If you can find it and bring it to me, oh how happy I would be. One day recently I was telling my sister how I couldn't find a certain object...I forget what, but a pricy one, and she asked "did you do the st. anthony prayer?" and i admitted i hadn't ... so then I did and within a minute, there it was.  yeah, all you doubters ... laugh ... but you catholics know what i'm talking about!!!!!
