LOLOL....Sharon, Footie wants to fix that baby's pants!! I'm sure there's something else you can do for him. Or another one will come along. He just have just fallen down and couldn't get up.....bless his heart
Or maybe he DOES have a twin like Footie said.
What's on the agenda for the beach today? It's FRIDAY!!!

.
-

-
Wow Morning ladies I seemed to have missed out on the fun. Are beach boys our topic for the day.If so I am joining in BIG TIME.
I have invited the whole volleyball team.
-
LOL Mum---good morning. It seems that Sharon and Footie want the same little beach baby:) I was gonna post this pic of the dogs playing in the water and TRY to persuade Sharon to PUT THE NEEDLE DOWN and throw a stick for these cute dogs. I doubt she will, but it's worth a try. Of course, she'd have to put the kids pants back on too
.......don't know if she's willing to do that!!
-
These guys showed up as well.Oh well the more the merryer.
-
LOLOL, I ain't fixing any buttons for that trio.
-
Today's another milestone for me. If you look quickly you'll see that this is my 6000th post. Is that pure crazy, or what? You know when I reach these milestones I feel it appropo to do some reflection. So many emotions well up in me as I think over all that has brought us together.
Where else could you get middle aged gals in a fracus over sewing buttons for little cheesecake, eye candy? Where else could you gather round all day awaiting someone's report over tests or pathology? Where else could you revel over family nonsense & what the pets are up to? Where else could you cross international boundaries, faith boundaries, cultural boundaries and the like to rail against a common denominator. Where else could you gather round to see the creativity and inventiveness of virtual strangers and offer encouragement to one another to take greater risks into such ventures.
I don't want to confuse anyone..... I'm not planning to leave our circle of friendship anytime soon. Quite honestly, with each of these milestones I do reflect on whether this is the best use of my time. My DH has grown tired of asking me to walk away. LOL. He knows that there are times when my heart just aches for one in our family here & I feel so helpless.... yet staying connected makes me think I can make some sort of contribution -- reaching out.
This morning I opened a PM from a member of our community that I had not 'met' before. She was kind enough to leave a sweet message -- that she appreciates my efforts to be supportive. What a thoughtful gesture. Serendipitously divine timing.
We are all here for one another. We hold each other up. We hold each other's hands. Thru the nonsense of no news & no developments as well as thru the razor-firewalk of awaiting news and thru treatment and beyond.
I am so grateful to everyone here. Little pulses of hope in the night. Little beams of light in the darkness. Little ports in the storm. Little islands in choppy seas. Little oasis in the desert. Choose your analogy.
I know that I am a stronger person for having stayed here & gotten to know each story that I've gotten acquainted with. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your candor. Thank you for your willingness to reach out. Thank you one & all for making this experience with BC have a silver lining. I certainly didn't get that at the beginning of this journey, but knowing you and coming to know you better-- the collective you -- is the best part of this adventure. The tribal-like strength that we share is one of the proudest acknowledgements of all my efforts.
Happy 6000th post. Happy 451 pages on this beach. Happy long weekend to one and all.
May we grow old together, gracefully welcoming brand new sisters into our midst with the sincerity of the truth that has brought us to this place.
This is my favorite daisy picture of the summer. The quote is from David Viscott. I feel like I am feeling the sun from both sides when I come here to BCO. We must reach out in love & learn to accept love when it is lavished upon us. And in that process we grow stronger,,,,,, together.
Thank you Angel for starting this thread and thank you to everyone who's ever contributed to this sanctuary. Thank you to all who read along periodically or swim past looking for a serene view.
Now. Back to beach boy Friday!

I think them cutie-fellers have been keeping everyone busy.
I don't see anybody on the beach??
Everyone must be in bungalos at the shore's edge.
Julz, how good of you to take off some time from your responsiblities to give us something to think about.... LOL. We can always count on you!!
Heading off for a grand adventure, a la bicycle. I hope to accomplish my record-ride for the season. So my minimum length will have to be 33 ++ miles to get 'er done.
We'll see just what sort of day this turns into.
Happy sailing.

Here is San Diego they banned booze from the beach..
so now most are bringing along rafts to sit in off shore so they
can have a brew or two..they tie them together..so now the life
guards are worried someone might fall in between the plastic rafts
and drown...

Beautiful pics Julz! Sorry you gotta work on a holiday
SoCalLisa--I remember you telling me about Pageant of the Masters once and I saw where it was, but we were pretty "beachy" looking so I didn't know if we were dressed appropriately. We DID go to the Sawdust Festival though. We've done that before and really enjoyed it.
Lisa or Faithie--can one of you tell me how to download a pic from Picasa to here? I've finally got my pics on Picasa, but it doesn't seem to post like photobucket does. Any guidance would be much appreciated. My DD is swamped with school work and I hate to ask her :O)
(((( Beachies )))) -
oops--sorry. I posted twice. Patience is NOT one of my strong points
