LIFE'S A BEACH!

Checkum. I can hear the waves as they roll back into the ocean draining off the beach. Love it.
-
My favorite place to be - peaceful!!!
Glad you like it.
-
Do you live near the beach Checkum? I love the beach too altough I'm in Ontario so far away from ocean. I adore the awesome strength and beauty of "big" salt water.
-
I used to, I am from Nantucket, MA. Now I live in NH and am about an hour from the ocean. I still have times where I just need to get back to the ocean, the smell of the salt air, the beach and crashing of thew waves. I find real peace and serenity there.
-
Here comes the SLOTH. I just love the picture of the 'stretching gal' beachside! Thanks for the prompt, again, Sharon.
Check: so glad that you're continuing to walk the beach with us. I had a presentation in Manchester NH this summer -- my first time in that part of the country professionally. It was a "quickie" in and out overnight, so barely saw a thing, but it was gorgous the day I was there. I love New England's contrasts to our midwest.
RUNNING errands this morning (does that count as exercise? LOL) and we suddenly ended up with two invitations for tonight! It's howling here today, so we'll go to our delightful neighbors across the street -- the proverbial party throwers..... besides they got their invite in 24 hours ahead of the second possibility. [We're feeling very popular, for a change.]
The last two nights of sleep have been my most sound of the past two years. I've genuinely given this whole recent whoooo-ha over to the heavens and so far, being graced with real sleep is the best gift of the season.
I know Spar's up to her eyebrows in moving boxes but where's Mary Lou??
Julz thinking of you. Hoping that both of you are making progress daily from the surgeries and that the boys haven't driven you over the edge. I remember those school vacations were fraught with a variety of emotions.
Lisa thanks for the photo above..... hey, I just now realized that we have two regular Lisas...... what to do about that??? We'll have to come up with a better nickname for each of you!!
Footie we're ready to get the party started. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Dream, are you writing through the transition into the new year?
I'm planning to stop back here later today, but any of you early birds are welcome to perch till I get back!!
-

Good morning beachies...
I think I'm going to set up house here for awhile
I can't get going today.
Maybe play some beach ball with some kids.
It's been such a hard 2008. Looking forward to what 2009 will hold.
Such a beautiful rainbow...makes me think happy thoughts.
-
I have noticed there are lots of Lisa's and Debbie's on the board.
I sure hope that's not a bad sign
To keep it simple, just call me Coonie----that goes well
with my last name
Plus, I think they're adorable.... I married one
-
I hope and pray 2009 is a great year for all the beachies that I've met. Shouldn't start naming, but I'm gonna try......
Sharon, Faith, Spar, Julz, SoCalLisa, Checkum, Foots, Dream, AlwaysHope, Celia, Mary-Lou and Angel who started this thread (but I haven't met) and anybody else I forgot to mention. It's chemo brain, and I'm sure it will come to me as soon as I hit "submit". God bless you all in 2009!!!! LET'S PARTY!!!
-
Since we're going to be on the beach all day...
I'll provide the necessities
-
Coonie: LOVE it!! Thanks for supplying your own nickname... that will help keep things straightened up. And yes, there does seem to be a causal link between the name "Debbie" and getting breast cancer. Several of us namesakes have had that tongue-in-cheek conversation connection in the past.
Julz: always good to get a report from you!! Keep 'em coming.
Must go jump up and down. The Postal Delivery Person just rang our doorbell and I have a box that I've been awaiting f-o-r-e-v-e-r!!!! Like seriously forever.
the cat's creeping outta the bag!!!The box contains the finished, computer-ready artwork orchestrating my second picture book..... this one has been created jointly by my actual sister and I. It's taken us f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get this far, but after I spend the next couple hours 'proofing' it, it's ready to get sent to the printers!!!!!!!
Ooooooooooooooooooooo Happppppppppppppppppppy Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!
-
LOLOL.......what fun on the beach today. That toilet paper is too cute to use.
But then so is this.
This one's for you Foot.
I've got to start setting up tables for the party tonight.
Julz, how do you remember everyone?
Just thought this was cute.
-
I have it written Down somewhere on a little 3x5 card! Seriously I do! LOL! My mind is like the Sand it Drains well!
!!!
Faith Oh Happy Day!!! Can't wait for that Cat to Start Peeking Out!!!
Lisa Coonie I like!!! When I was Born No One had my Name! No One! So now that my name is more popular. I turn my Head everytime I here it! LOL! I'm getting used to it so I don't get Whip Lash anymore!!!
I'm off to see my MIL, she is in a Nursing Home. My DH sister is meeting us there to see her. Be Back Laters to Frolic a little more in the Waves!
Sharon will be back later to play....
-
Coonie, another name to remember.
I'll have to start writing cheat notes on my hands............legs arms.
Congrats Faith.
-
Nobody wants to do dishes so these will make things easier.
-
More decorations.
-
Just so our drinks don't get tipsy tonight.
-
Party pics for the appetizers.

-
Oh Faith. So much for dieting. But then, it's New Year's Eve.
-
And yet more buffet:
-
Did someone say Buffett?
-
Which takes us directly to:
-
Did someone say margaritas?
-
......and what goes with margaritas?
More margaritas.
-
.......and some nachos
