Biker, she does look naked and like her butt hasn't had the sun like the rest of her has but at least shes cute. wow, I have to admire you, haven't washed windows in probably years. lol Glad you like my cartoons. I love funny stuff and hoping people smile.
Faith, what a beautiful picture of the butterfly.
When we get moved I am going to post some of our vacation pictures like to Lake Tahoe. I love it there. Am hoping my pictures are still good they are in storage.
Jaz, hey big brother tonight.
Sahalie that is a lovely picture of a farm. My mother use to stop and take pictures of barns whenever we traveled, for some reason she loved them and the older the better. She just had me type up her life story, it was quite interesting, moving back and forth between calif. and okla. frequently and would travel with a mattress on top of the car and at night just camp on the side on the road and throw down the mattress to sleep on. I can't even imagine living that way.
Hope all has a good evening.
Julz, I know you are sleeping but try to pop in tonight before work to say hi all
Faith, lots of hugs to you.
-
it's been a challenging few days for me......taking refuge.....

Wow Celia! Those monks can really jump! I love the sand sculptures! We live in Bucks County, PA and we went to a place called Peddlers Village, where they had beautiful sand sculptures. You could watch them make them. It was fascinating! They made this intricate castle, with dragons and such. It was really cool.

thank you Julz, a perfect song for a good picture. I just read what you wrote on the story board and I cracked up and wrote a very jealous post about you. LOL
Hope all is having a wonderful evening.
Faith beautiful sunset
Biker I want to go to peddlers village. Does the sand art then get washed away by the ocean? I mean there is no way to keep it is there except on film?
I would like to have a hoola hoop contest tomorrow or find some cool hoola hoops, or children hoola hooping. I can remember having so much fun as a child doing that.
-

Angels
Some may say that we have both goodness and evil within us. I believe in angels. Angels have shown me the love and warmth within those around me. And maybe, just maybe, there's one in me too. So many people have gone out of their way to add joy to my life - rejoicing in my abilility to outlive the odds. They surround me with laughter and when needed, their own two arms. And when we are that close, I feel the flutter of air on my face. Was that the gentle motion of invisible wings? Is the glow of warmth the light of a halo? How could I feel anything but joy?
Spar - I am sorry to hear about the death of your friend/friend's husband. I know you share her pain because you too are an angel. Tears wash our soul. Cry with her, she will love you for it.
Just about everyone has commented on my writing. I appreciate the praise. This is what I thought I would do with my life = write but I ended up being a mom full time and the talent just waited until I had time for it.
I have not found the beach. But I have a beach towel - with silly bugs on it. Can someone give me directions? No sand here. Celia could you get those girls outta my flip flops?
My heart is slowly breaking. My friend is passing. She is sleeping more each day, not realizing the drugs are taking away her anxiety over not being able to breath effectively. Eventually she will not wake up. I wish I could be with her. She loves my calls so I call daily and sometimes twice. I chat as if she will drive down tomorrow. I cannot tell her. It is not my place. But it hurts to know that querky woman that drove half a day to meet me for coffee and lunch will be no longer. And in the back of my head is the thought that I will die just like her. With the same breathing issues and the palliative drugs.
-
I have run out of time. I encountered Doggie Puddles! LOL!
So good night to everyone from A to Z & may special Angels protect & watch over each of us!
Good Night All & Sweet Beachy Dreams to All!
-
dreamwriter, so sorry about your friend. It is really hard to lose people we love, it is even hard for me to lose people I care about by moving or changing jobs. I still keep in touch with people I worked with in the 1980's simple because i hate to lose any part of my life and all these people bring something to me and I hope I give back to them.
Julz, sorry you ran out of time, it is just plain hard to work full time, cook, household chores, family and have spare time for us. You do a good job though.
Sahalie, did you have a good day? I know you are getting so excited about your trip, isn't it coming up next month?
Foots, pull up a chair and have some lemonaid
Celia, bless you and hope you have a better tomorrow
To everyone lots of hugs and love. Getting sleepy and heading for bed to read a bit.
If you read the humor story thread, one is our sweet angel and the other is julz in the story today.LOL

Faith, I drank one of those delightful drinks...ummmmmmm
It is late and the sun is setting....see ya tomorrow

Good morning Beachies...Coming for a very early morning swim at the beach! But first I will watch a glorious sunrise!
After I'm done with my swim I must go to dreamland! Maybe Dreamwriter can tell me another magical tale!
Dreamwriter it is truly devastating to watch someone you care deeply for whether it be a parent, sibling, relative, dear friend, or lover. The longing to hold on as time slips away. Knowing very soon that memories will be all that you have left. With bittersweet thoughts that they no longer will be in pain & also wanting them to hold on longer because you will miss them terribly....My thoughts & prayers are with as you travel on this very hard path you take with your friend.....((((((HUGS))))))
Mary Lou I see the one on your right but not the one on your left!
Spar Darling it makes life spicey to be both even if your only wild in a story! Anyway someone has to take up where NBN left off now that she is Naughty but Nice
! MEOWWW!
Faith your Drinks Look truly intoxicating! LOL! Along with your sunset!
Celia Hi! I would love to rub that budda belly! It would be sandy though! LOL! This granny would end up with a cane for sure if I jumped like that!
Biker Jan yes the storm was something, but by looking at the radar I think you got a way bigger punch than I did! When your done with your windows you can come do mine! My 2 little ankle biters (not) will lick you to pieces though! LOL! Or bark your head off!
Sahalie I hope it's still sprinkling your way cooler temps! Counting down the days till you get on your bird & fly to Paradise!
My eyes are starting to droop, so I must go shower the sand from my hair & head for a siesta in my hammock. I'll be dreaming of peaceful, calming tranquility for all those on the beach that need our caring gentle Hugs. From A to Z & in between!
-
Goodmorning all beach friends, it is raining here and I love the rain but it makes it difficult for the guys to set the house today.
Sahalie, it is official, on today show the fashion experts say it is ok to wear white after labor day!! So you are good to go. I never pay attention to stuff like that anyway, I wear whatever whenever. What a rebel. LOL Are you having cooler temps?
Lisa, foots, faith, biker, wings, saint, celia, where is everyone it is too quiet on the beach this morning.
I am all alone.

Hi Beachie kids!
It is early & the carpet is going in----NOISILY!
Second day on xeloda & still seem ok EXCEPT that I have had Horrid leg cramps all nite & I'm not so sure it isn't withdrawl from the AI I had to stop---guess knowing the reason makes little difference anyway..
I am keeping up with your posts & BEEYOOTIFUL pix! Some of them make we want to cry (but maybe I'm just in an "easy-to-cry" mode as I regain my footing)
Dream----and all others who need it--big hugs! It is so hard to watch anyone's demise & for some of us, to know we face the same......an odd way to live your life! But we need to do more than survive--we need to thrive!
A-Z be well & stay strong
-
Here are hugs from A through Z whether you need it or not!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning from wondrous fog and green trees on Sand Dune Street.
Spar. The hula hoops. You found them. They are beautiful! I love those pictures!
So festive. Me thinks a Hula hoop festival is most certainly a must for the beach.
The girl inside the hoops is dazzling! I love that one to pieces.
About fashion in my eyes. It's what ever floats ones boat and majorly comfortable.
Like well worn jeans. Soft shirts (since bimastectomy) and socks on feet when inside.
Birkenstocks or running shoes when outside and or of course our flip floppers.
I just bought a new pair of North Face flip floppers at REI for my island.
You must wear some foot protection due to the coral. Water shoes can be cumbersome.
My feet have a mind of their own and demand freedom and space. So hardy flip flops do
very well to protect the feet in that heaven of water.
I still smile and giggle with delight when seeing your pink flip flops. They are a smile maker.
Julz. Congrats on your avatar and a good one it is too. Adorable grandbaby.
Celia. Saint. FootsDebs ~ I am sending positive thoughts of healing and wellness to each.
Faith. JazzbabeMIAandXOXO. All our new shining shells. Wings. MaryLou. Everyone.
I'm waving can you see me?
Sahalie
edited to Thank Spar for that fantastic cartoon full of love and meaning above. Thank YOU.
-
Spar you've outdone yourself in finding both incredbile hoopsters, filled with the colors I love AND so much truth in the hug-a-thon cartoon. So significant.
Lots of hugs to Footie, Saint and Dream -- who are all making adjustments to this journey together.
WhoohoooNewMaryLou: so glad that you appreciated the happy drinks. Have another!
Julz: always so tickled that you find the time to romp on the beach in the midst of all you're up to. Love your new avatar. Now we want to see close ups of this beautiful baby, please. (Again, in your spare time.LOL) Just post the same pic in big-mode and that will satisfy my curiosity for a while.
Celia: I'm hoping that you're having a better day today.... freer from challenges. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Sahalie: I'm sure you're enjoying a respite from the heat. Enjoy. Enjoy. It's a tad warmer this morning, so I didn't need my heaviest fleece for walking. Funny how the days roll on.
Lisa: I need to pick your brain on Picasa and the collage fun. Will send a PM when I get a minute.
Shrink: we're ready to hear, when you're ready to spill.
Margo: ditto. I'm just picturing you having the most delightful time of your life. You two deserve it! That's for certain.
Jasmine: all I can guess is that things are really getting wild and wooly for you at work. Sure hope that you can escape those pressures for a splash here with us.
Harley: you too about the working.
Jan-of-the-Bike: so nice to see you popping in and out. What are you talking about: washing windows? This is a concept that I'm unfamiliar with. Sorta like the hoola hoop. I think I read about both in an encyclopedia some time ago in my youth. That's what a liberal Arts education gets ya.
WingerDings: saw an ORANGE mustang convertable and thought of you. Ride thru, sweetie.
Sige: it's about time for you to stop lurking and share some significant, silly or sweet -- you choose. Missing your unique contribution around here.
Do you suppose I'll ever get a list made with everyone's names on it? Hugs around the alphabet.
(Speaking of the alphabet, I JUST got an email that someone wants to put my songs into a teacher book, based around the alphabet and movement ideas. Am I living a charmed life? How much fun would that be? All I need are a couple of more irons in the fire..... but yesterday I got an email confirming that all of our recording project has been "approved" and is ready to hit the recording studio..... just in the nick of time for my return home. Maybe I'll have a tropical drink and toast to everyone here who keeps me marching along!!)
SAINT: looking forward to inspecting your new carpet, first hand!! How do you feel about salmon?
little hoops to add to the merriment:
Angel hugs to each and all!!
Take action today, toward a healthier tomorrow. [I just drank my V-8 juice: oh boy!]
-
To Celia. And any Shining Shells who are in need of being held extra tight this week.
Most Sincerely.
Sahalie
-
Thanks for all the nice words. Sometimes something that happens in the course of 10 minutes can throw your world apart.
hello and good wishes for spar, sahalie, faith, bikerjan, julz, sige, saint, wings, footie, lisa, jasmine, dreamwriter, heymoose, marylou, and fleeting angels on the beach.
-
for faith--a child's mandala.....
<><>
-
for sahalie, getting ready for the island paradise trip.....
-
for spar whose kind heart is huge......
-
Celia.......... you know me so well! I was hyper concerned after Sahalie's post above that something might be seriously wrong. So I weaseled my dearest to unleash the motorbeast and we went to "Pebble Beach" (not your Pebble Beach, but an actual beach of pebbles) so that I could capture some blue sky, sunshine fun for you.
Perhaps you don't "need" it today as much as yesterday, but we created this artwork in your honor:
-
Celia..hope you are doing better...
I am sending the attack wild swans to your rescue..
These I hear are vicious..
so much for a pretty face!!
