Jazz ~ Thinking of you & your weather troubles. We have some boats but we sold the canoe a few years back. That's no help to you now. Janice Joplin takes me back, my mother loved her music. So to this day I can still remember the first verse to 'Mercedes Benz'! Oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz....I actually sang that one morning at work to the residents as I was getting them ready for the day! LOL! Imagine 90 year old ladies being sung Janice Joplin! Be safe & try & keep your head above the water.
SoCal ~ Your Balloons remind me of this....

Dear Sige ~ ((((((HUGS))))) How are things! I'm thinking of you. Glad your watching us! We are here when ever you need us through the Good times & the Bad! I know things can turn your world upside down! Somehow things will make themselves right side up again! You can always get the funk off your chest in a PM!
Wings ~ Shining a light for you tonight.....
Faith ~ Beauty can be in something so simple! Keep pluggin in your always expanding new ventures! I feel like the old maid married 23 years. LOL!
Spar ~ From Tacos to Red Lobster! Yummm! 15 years of Wedded Bliss! How quant are your Brick roads. Arms wide open for your new house getting done! Yeahh! I bet you can't wait to make more rock Gardens around your new house! With lots of love in every pebble & bloom! Loving all the beach kiddy's playing.

Girls on the Beach thru the Ages!!!!!
-
Hi everyone..we just this moment finally arrived HOME!!
We did take a peek at Niagra Falls before we left today
Be back in the AM...Hugs
-
Saint, may I make a sisterly request? I mean this in the kindest way possible. When you post a picture, could you hit the 'return' or 'enter' key before you post the next one so they post vertically instead of horizontally. It blows out the side borders of the thread and makes reading regular text post hard to read because they go off the side of the screen and you have to scroll from side to side. Please don't take this suggestion as a criticism.
-
Amazing picture, Lisa!
-
Spar, glad you won your auction! Maui on Friday! Pack your bags.
Spar and Julz, your pictures are getting me very excited for Maui.
I can hear the palm trees now and smell the flowers.Dreamwriter, welcome.
Celia, I love the laughter people.
Foots, hope today was better for you. Hugs.
SoCal, those are some pretty cool hot air balloons.
Faith, we're checking bags this time so I have room in my carryon
......come on over.I'm officially on vacation now but not leaving until Friday. Will have
my laptop with me because I called the hotel and they have free internet
access so I don't have to go through withdrawals. -
Sorry if I messed up the page for anyone else--I resized b4 I posted & they came out vertically on MY screen! But then----you know mac is superior!!! LOL sorry!
-
LOL! Mac who? That is weird that they are vertical on your computer. They are horizontal on mine. I wonder how that works???

This is our fog. Gentle* Beautiful.
It's the perfect guest and stays just a little while then retreats back out over the
ocean where it dissipates and waits till it's needed again to cool off our over the
top hot days we are having now.
The fog rolls in many summer evenings and persists to around noon.
This keeps the temperature down and the humidity up, creating the unique conditions that allow
us to have the only population of coast redwoods in the world.
Moist, cool air is both drawn in by the updrafts of warm air in the Central Valley as well
as pushed in by the North Pacific Highs.
This combines with the upwelling of cold water along the California coast,
refrigerating the moist air and condensing its moisture into wonderful cooling fog.
Then it leaves around noon and the sun shines on.
My family and I are going to a wedding this Sunday nestled in the very woods above.
*
Welcome home Lisa. Gorgeous jaw dropping picture of the Falls.
Jazz. XOXO
Margaret. Aloha on Friday. No phones. Computers. where we go. It's blissful.
Julz. Our weather here is back up to Jalapeno' temps. Unbearable.
I'm loving my deck and yard now minus being bombed by Redwood seedlings.
-
Good morning Beach babes. Just breezing by on my way to work. I woke up this morning and 'hallelujah' the rain has finally stopped. I hope everyone has a fantabulous day.

Morning Beachie kids!
I made it to Thurs b4 the real sadness of back-to-school dropped on me! I always thought not having to work & staying home would be the Ultimate---NOT! Been singing Joni's song all day, "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone?" Now I need to learn how to post those song link thingys!! LOL
Shalie mentioned sand dunes a few days ago & that sent me into my iphotos for this memory! We were driving south along the Oregon coast on our way to the magnificent coastal redwoods when we saw an odd sight. For many miles the right side of the road had been a steep incline of trees & undergrowth when suddenly there was a huge break between the trees & a barren dessert poured down to the road! It was the size of a football field or bigger & it was about a 45 degree incline, but we saw a few other families stop & get out to investsigate. Now, uncharted, unscheduled travel is JUST how I like it! So we circled back & stopped at the base of the sand slide. We started to climb & it was a very intense work out. Every 3 steps we slid back 2, but we got to the top. We were comparing memories of what we saw at dinner the other nite (thanx for seeding a fun family memory-sharing, sahalie) Anyway, the pix are small & the kids have grown, but they body-surfed down the dune & we had such fun in such a simple way------hope you enjoy my memory too!
Be well & stay storng
-
Hi gang..just had to share this shower curtain
my college roommate had in her house...reminded
me of all of you...
-
Saint, loved those sliding down the sand dune pictures, that is how dh and i travel, it we see something different we stop and investigate and never keep to a time schedule.
Lisa, that is a special shower curtain, have never seen one like that. and those pictures of nigra falls - WOW. beautiful
Sahalie, don't know how you do it but you made the fog come alive. What a beautiful place to have a wedding. Have fun.
Foots - hope all is well with you, or at least getting better. Do you have any family that lives in the town you do??
Margo, if you hear a burp or smell chocolate coming out of your purse don't worry, its just me with my coke and hershey bar waiting for maui
Saint, I know which group of those butts I fit in and I ain't telling. Did you try to edit your pictures after you posted, you can change them then?
Hi and hugs from A to Z am going to go have a breakfast burrito for lunch.
-
Aquick wave at my special wavers....... just keeping caught up on everyone's bright beginning.
Must go now and attempt productivity/creativity.......
Thanks again for all images of mountains: HUGE help for my flat-lander brain.
