I am now exercising and i find my vagina coming out down below.  when this happens I keep pushing them back.  The other side effect is when this is bad i am very wet down there and wonder if exercising is pushing on my insides.  I assume the muscles are getting stronger and could this be it?

Husband does not notice anything different.
Does any one else have this problem after treatments?  GP says it is the muscles but I am not sure.

Any comments would be appreciated for i am worried and dont want another operation.  I have had this for awhile now and dont want to admit it to the Doc.

    Thanks

Sorry to read you're having these problems. Vaginal prolapse is the condition you are describing, where the vagina inverts in various degrees, sometimes just a little and other times a lot. When this happens, you often have wetness problems, some from the vaginal tissue, and some from the relaxation of the urethra (bladder tube) too.

This is not an uncommon condition what you describe, and a gynecologist should be able to offer you help in addition to an exam. Baring surgery, a pessary is a flexible, rubber diaphragm often used in prolapse to re-vert the vagina to it's internal position. There are all kinds of sizes and shapes, and you must sometimes be patient to find the right one for your body type.

The gynecologist will examine you for bladder drop or prolapse to, as well as early signs of incontinence from such. And then she can get a pap smear too.

Kegal exercises where you tighten your pelvic muscles and then relax them are advised; they sometimes help and sometimes don't. It's nothing you did yourself, just a natural result of aging.

    Hope this helps some.
