Has anyone see Entertainment tonight?  Farrah was on yesterday and is going to be on again today.  Still fighting her battle with cancer - with dignity, despite the paparozzi.

Anyways, she has mets now to her liver.  She is very thing. It really touched my heart when I saw her.  Such a beautiful person.

I haven't seen it yesterday, but they have showed her a few times going back and forth to Germany for treatment.  She's been showing a lot of fortitude and grace.  I'm sorry to hear of the spread.

Did they talk about the treatment she is getting?

I watched the second show about Farrah on entertainment tonight.  Didnt like the show, but they did finially talk about some of the treatment Farrah was getting.  They said only this doctor in Germany does this surgery, but Im questioning that.

Anyways, they gave chemo directly to the cancer on her liver via cat scan.  They called it Ablation?

Ive never been a big fan of Farrah either, but since her diagnosis, she has shown such strength and spirit.  She is indeed a warrior.

    I hate cancer.

She's had such a troubled life, I hope this goes as well as possible. I'm nervous for her because I heard Suzanne Somers recommended the treatment and that frightens me.

Geez Amy I complete agree with you!! So Suzanne Somers is giving Farrah advice re: her cancer treatments?? Oh dear.

Nothing against Suzanne Somers, but she had a completely different cancer than Farrah, and she's no doctor, that's for sure. I hope Farrah is making informed decisions.

I am still a believer in "western medicine." I have no problem with combining "western" and "homeopathic" or whatever I think it is very risky to turn your back on scientific advances. Combine them! That's the best of both worlds.

    Best of luck to Farrah.

She is getting treatments called  Chemo Embolization where the chemo is given directly into the tumor. We do it here at the hospital I work at. I believe it is only done for liver cancer.

I always liked her, I wish her all the best.

I saw the show as well and felt bad that she is still fighting it as well as so many of us.  It would be nice if she could find our site and join in the discussions. I would treat her the very same as everyone else. I really wish her the best and all of us on the board.  Maybe she could share with us how the treatment ends up working for her.pearl49

I guess the part that confused me was they said the doctor from Germany was the only one who did this procedure.  At least thats what I thought they said.

Thanks Tina - I couldnt think of the name of what they said it was, but when they said it was chemo directly to the tumor in her liver, I thought to myself - heck we do that here too.

Suzanne Somers?  Oh my what a touchy subject.  To be honest, I dont know much about her - but I do know that some of the things she practices regarding cancer are a little too bizarre for me.  Think when it comes to her, I will continue to keep my head in the sand.
