Hi.. I was here back in 2005. right mastectomy stage 1.. just had a mammogram on the left and they saw suspicious area and now I wait to see if I have to take the journey all over again. I thought I would be better this time as I would know what I am in for but in fact I feel like I am melting.

should get the call today tomorrow or monday

Frankly I don't know how I am going to answer it.

Everytime I look at my 10 year old I want to cry

    Thanks for letting me vent

{{{Hugs}}} and a cyber hand extended to hold while you wait for that B9 phone call!  Hope you get it soon, so you can start to relax when they give you the best news you are hoping for!

I know this road all too well, too. After my lumpectomy in 2002, an abnormal mammo lead to an excisional biopsy on the other side a year later. That was total hell, so close on the heels of my original cancer. Fortunately, it was benign.

Then a few months ago, I found a mass in the non-cancer breast and was diagnosed, once again, with a Stage 1 cancer. It was not as hard for me this time. I felt I knew so much more, knew what I was capable of handling, and knew how to control my anxiety.

The extra time between my two cancers was a nice cushion.

I'm hoping all will be benign for you. One time with cancer is enough, thank you very much...

Hi Leslie, I am in the same boat as you right now, I had a mast. on the right breast on Dec 5th, 2007. Now they have found 3 lumps i my left. I had wanted them to take them both in the very beginning.of all this mess. Here I was worried that it would return in a couple of years, I never thought it would be a couple of months. It is stressful, but I am ready for what they have to say, and to fight it, if necessary.

I will pray for both of us,

    Shelly

I know how you feel. I was dx'd in 2000 went through mast, chemo and rads. I have now been dx'd again, same thing, in the other breast and had a mast w/SNB waiting to heal and do chemo. The results were easier for me the 2nd time due to the fact that I know more and what to expect. Hang in there. Alot has changed in 8 yrs for me and this sight has been a godsend. I wish it was here 8 yrs ago.
