Organ Cleansing and the liver and thyroid

Has anyone besides Genesis done a internal organ cleanse, or a colon cleanse?  If these organs are sluggish with toxins, parasites, and the like, doesn't it make sense that their function would be impaired?  Here is a fascinating abstract on the relationship between the Liver and Thyroid function:  http://qjmed.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/95/9/559  Genesis, if you read this, what happened during your cleanses?  Did you pass anything of noting?

Right on again!!!  That is what we keep trying to stress is that you have to cover all the major organs of the body.  I did not pass anything highly unusual.  My overall well being was significantly  elevated for the better and continues to be so.  We continue to do quarterly detoxings alternating the type.  We feel it is VERY important in ANY healing.

Lisa, I take milk thistle daily along with a fiber supplement 3 times a day. I always use a soluble fiber supplement and but try to add a insoluble supplement each day too. Along with that, I drink a roasted dandelion root drink frequently(dandyblend). I also go light on the carbs and alcohol is rare. I know it's not quite what you mean however it did bring my elevated liver enzymes down to 14 and 16 in 2+ months. Previous post chemo testing showed them in the high 80s-90s range. My liver also showed to be enlarged via an US. I'm hoping the next US shows that looking good too. When I first started supplementing with fiber, I did see some glutinous structures but only a couple of times.

I am having trouble with lipids, can't take lipitor and other stats due to elevated liver enzymes, fatty liver.  Where can I find out more about detoxing liver?  thanks
