Malpractice Anyone?
Hello,
I reside in suburban Philadelphia and was diagnosed in Chester County, PA. This is recurrent breast cancer. During 2007, I received conflicting diagnoses from pathologists reviewing my biopsy slides. Very long, complex story with many doctors involved. I prepared a 'timeline' and draft all the various actions (or lack there of) by my former medical team. The fact that I now have a correct diagnosis of metastic triple negative breast cancer, is not going to change. No amount of money, restitution or compensatory damagers are going to change the outcome of my cancer. That being stated, I feel I have been grossly wronged by several doctors.
I'm not a litigious person, never sued anybody in my life and never looked for a handout. To the lay person, one would seem that its pretty obvious who dropped the ball and where, so to speak. Much to my dismay, after consulting with a 'high powered Philly malpractice attorney', he disagreed. Said my case was too complex, he 'didn't like' it and felt that because these chain of events have taken place in Chester County, PA, I am in for a long uphill battle, one that I would never win. He told me to get another legal opinion and possibly a third, and that was the end of our discussion. Thank goodness I didn't pay for this man's advice. To say he was brusque, was an understatement. Who knows...maybe these docs and lawyers are in bed together?
In any event, I would like to ask if there's anyone out there who can refer a strong PA malpractice attorney for consult? Apparently Chester County has a reputation for being favorable to the doctors', not the plaintiffs. I'm going to consult the Chester County Bar association for a referral as well, but would like to hear from anyone out there.
I feel I have been wronged and would like someone to be held accountable. A settlement would sure take away some financial stress and make life a bit easier, but my biggest desire would be to have my treatment for this cancer guaranteed for life.
Please feel free to email me at kc1970@gmail.com
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Kim

I am also pursuing malpractice in Georgia. I don't really care if I get money, I just want to bring the gross errors to the attention of the doctors involved so that hopefully this won't happen to another woman. I know you need to look at your time left before it is too late to file. You just need it filed and then find a good lawyer. Be prepared to be rejected for treatment by other doctors in the area too.
