O/T - Need Some Help

I am going to post this in a couple of places but need some ideas on how I can help someone out. A person who is very close to me has a DIL who was having alot of trouble getting pregnant. After 5 years of trying and different fertility options she finally concieved via in vitro fertilization. They implanted two eggs and miraculously they both took. She is 25 weeks along right now with two babies each in their own little sacs.
They found out about two weeks ago that one of the little boys was in trouble, he had two bulging veins in his brain area along with lots of excess fluid. Not all his organs are forming, he has club feet and they don't think he has any little fingers at the moment. Basically he is pretty bad shape. The other little boy seems to be doing well, developing normally and healthy. Yesterday they were told after a sonogram that it looked like the sick baby died. If this baby dies there is a risk she could go into early labor and both boys will die. They are not 100% sure the baby died because there is so much fluid buildup on the babies abdomen that it could have been masking the heartbeat.
Anyway, this is very sad and I want to do something nice for them and for the life of me cannot figure out what to do. If the one boy survives that would be wonderful but everything is so risky at the moment. I am very crafty and enjoy doing crocheting, cross stitch, scrapbooking, all kinds of stuff like that. I was trying to think of some type of memorial or plaque I could make to give them something nice to hold onto for this little boy and cannot think of anything I could do. Even if it wasn't crafty, I just want to do something.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what I can do to help them out without being intrusive into their lives at this point in time? Maybe I just need to step back and do nothing but I really want to do something even if it is to just offer up some prayers. what do you guys think?

I have a friend who lost a baby while she was pregnant and her husband planted a flower bush in their back yard as a remembrance to their child. I know it probably cold in Ohio but maybe there is some kind of plant or tree that could be planted? I live in Michigan and we are about to have a warm up soon.
Also, unfortunately, I have another friend who lost her beautiful 2 mth old daughter in Oct. of this year. Her family wanted donation to purchase a tile with their daughter name to be placed at U of Mi Mott's Children Hospital, where her daughter was born. A get cause and also a great memorial to their daughter.
Hope this helps. I will keep this family in my prayers.

I suggest a card saying that they are in your thoughts and prayers, and, if you live at all close, take them a meal they can just heat up and eat.

Even just a cake or pie would be good, too. I think it's safe to say that many of us are praying for the wee ones.
