Had my mammo this morning...first after lumpectomy on 2/8/07. It seemed like last year I was in the "twilight zone" and today I am in the "present". Laughing Have so much to be thankful for...God's blessings.

Will take today's films to breast surgeon appointment on 1/15/08.  I was diagnosed on 1/17/07 and remember that day as I wasn't prepared to hear the word "cancer" immediately following the biopsy...but the surgeon was more than 90% sure.

This journey has been one that many women have been on. I thank you all for your support and prayers.

My diagnosaversary is 1/18.  One year ago I was a complete wreck.  Now I'm wrapping up rads and planning to get on with my life.  Congratulations!

Thank you "JellyDonut", Jule and "Twink" for your comments and congratulations to you all on your "radiant" journey.

I like the term "diagnosaversary". I'm trying to decide when to have my celebration. I could take the whole day off from work when I meet with the breast surgeon on 1/15 (its a 9AM appt) or I could wait til my birthday on January 30 when I turn 59. I spent my last year's birthday getting pre-admission tests at the hospital for my 2/8 surgery. Decisions, decisions...but these are light compared to the decisions of last year.Undecided

    Bernadette,

No decision - take both days off!!  Enjoy and celebrate to your heart's content.  You've earned it.  Happy Birthday too.
