Probably not the right place...

I'm just looking for support...my mom passed away in February of this year and I can't seem to find any type of support group. I just want to be able to "relate" to people who have felt and are feeling the same way I do. Is this the right place for this?

You are welcome here. We have all lost loved ones, and you will be able to draw support here. I can't say I know how you feel because I still have my mom, but I have lost other family members and I do know that in time you will start to heal. You will never stop thinking of your mom, make those times good times by remembering happy times you had together.
Hang in there

Hello Buckeye, I remember when I lost my Mom. I went back to work and thought I'd be fine. Wrong.
It took me a while but I finally gave in and began talk therapy, counseling with a psychologist.
It made a world of difference. I just wasn't able to address my grief, and my life became a mess and I was just lost.
I hope you will consider this as an option along with comming here when you wish.
Bless you, loosing Mom was SO hard.

Buckeye, I'm so sorry you lost your mom. I feel your pain. I lost my mom July1st, six months today. I miss her so much. I miss talking to her. There are things I want to tell her. I've had people tell me, well just talk to her. They don't understand; it's not the same as both of us having a conversation.
There have been so many ladies on this board that have died this year. It is so heartbreaking. I think of them and their families and know that these last days and months have been hard on them. Grieving is hard; it takes your energy at first but I find it gets better.
I know there is nothing I can say to make you feel better, we have to find that way ourselves. I just know the pain of losing a parent hurts so bad. I am so sorry for you. Love, Dianne

I guess we all mean, you are not alone. You sure do feel alone, I miss my mother every day. I guess that never goes away. But time does make it a little easier.
You can come here and post anywhere, anytime. We all come because we want to help others in need. We have all been there.
Gentle hugs, Shirlann
