secondary breast cancer in the lungs

Hi everyone. I have just found out that I have secondary breast cancer in the lungs. Just one small hole punch size in each lung. I would like to take natural therapy treatments like vitamins etc but I am worried that it will effect Arimidex and my body in producing more estrogen. If there is a natural therapist out there will you clarify this for me. Thanks

Dear sb007,
At this point you may want to check out Dr. Richard Schulze. Go to the Natural Healing conversation on this board and it will fill you in on so much you can be doing if you are seeking natural therapy. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have if they are not addressed in the conversations.
Our prayers are with you,
Genesis

Genesis, I am being checked out for lung mets. I will have a CT scan three months apart to check and see if it changes. I have three spots total, all in lower lobes, 2 in 1 and 1 in the other side. Did you have any symptoms? I would appreciate anything you can share, thanks Sherry
Also, the natural therapies section here is very good. I like to also use natural to an extent, but know when to let the docs do their thing too. Good luck to all of us!

Hi sherry7,
My mets were in the bones, thigh, neck, upper arm, pelvis and lower spine - no symptoms (other than the tumor!) I have not had a pet scan since early May. I don't plan to have anymore. We have learned enough to know that CT scans heighten cancer risk. I followed Dr. Richard Schulze's 30 day incurables program and continue with much of his regimen to this day. I have all my confidence in Schulze's natural healing program and absolutely none in modern medicine. You would do well to check out Schulze's life saving information. See my first entry on my "Natural Healing" conversation for links to Schulze's videos.
Our prayers are with you,
Genesis

I have just been diagnosed with cancer again. I had breast cancer stage 3 in 2000. Now they say it is in my lungs. I just need to talk to someone that has been through this

Genesis, well, I totally understand why you would dread getting radiation exposure induced cancer, there is a real need to see how fast these things are growing.
Since you are very concerned about how you live, it is of the utmost importance that you do whatever you can to live. PET scan uses glucose (sugar) as an injection and it is picked up by mets and then the CT scan records the activity.
The injection would be of most concern with regard to scans but PET CTs do not use the same contrast as MRIs or CTs.
And, it should be clear to you, that the repercussions of being exposed to radiation from diagnostic radiology may take 10 years or more to show up as it is cumulative.
You must consider this. You must realize that the odds of getting cancer from CT are irrelevant in your present situation.
