Hi Donna,

When I first started reading your posts I thought it was my sister posting theses messages. We seem to have a lot in common. To start, I too have a sister named Donna. She is one of the best sister a girl could have. I am so blessed to have her and love her dearly.

Second, I was diagnosed three years ago with ER+ bc . I went for a round of chemo (which just melted my tumor) followed by a double mastectomy and hystorectomy. I tested positive for the BRCA 2 gene and was afraid the cancer would come back so I was very agressive in my treatment. For the first 2 1/2 years after the treatment I was on Tamoxifin. ABout 6 months or so my onc put me on Femara and said this was very effective in ER+ bc . Boy was I happy. I had experienced a miracle. I beat breast cancer... or so I thought.

On December 21 2007 a day before my 46 birthday I had some chest pain and had severe discomfort in my chest. I was so a afraid I was having a heart attack. The ER did a CT of my chest and there is a 1.3 cm irregular shape nodule on my lung. The report says it appears to be a new tumor or a metatasis of a prior cancer. I immediately contacted my onc who is on vacation til Jan 14 2008 and he set me up for a pet scan for this Monday and will go over them with me when he returns in mid January.

I am so scared. I thought for sure I beat this cancer because I was so aggressive in my treatment. Two months ago my tumor markers were good. I have so many emotions and fears. I am not sure how this will turn out but let me tell you I am terrified of this disease.

Well, I still believe in miracles and I am praying that this nodule on the CT scan is benign. Please tell your sister that I will keep her in my prayers so she to can receive her miracle cure of breast cancer.

PS My little sister is 41 years old and she to has tested positive for this BRCA 2 gene which gives her up to an 80% chance of getting breast cancer in her lifetime.

I'm so sorry to hear about this turn of events for you and understand how terrifying this ordeal can be.  There is a post just about 5 or 6 down about Parp Pills and a study thats still open read it just may be your miracle.  All the best and prayers going your way. Pearl
