    Hi Ladies,

This was a response I put in the Oprah, etc thread....several people were curious about voting records of candidates and how to find the information easily....so then I thought to put it here under it's own thread

    http://www.c-span.org/

Here are a couple of web sites to satisfy some of your curiosity about who votes for what. C-span was created by Cable and offered as a public service.

    http://thomas.loc.gov/

    Thomas (as in Thomas Jefferson)

Taken from the “About THOMAS” click …..“THOMAS was launched in January of 1995, at the inception of the 104th Congress. The leadership of the 104th Congress directed the Library of Congress to make federal legislative information freely available to the public. Since that time THOMAS has expanded the scope of its offerings to include the features and content listed below.”

    Bills, Resolutions

    Activity in Congress

    Congressional Record

    Schedules, Calendars

    Committee Information

    Presidential Nominations

    Treaties

    Government Resources

    For Teachers

    Help and Contact

On the HOME page you’ll find a place to select the congress or senator and view their bills, etc.

So how did they vote????? Go here to find the answers:

    http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/a_three_sections_with_teasers/votes.htm

Mid way down the screen to ROLL CALL TABLES by year…click one

When the record appears VOTE is the first column…click on the number

Somehow…Obama made this easy for us … here is his voting record directly from his web site…

    http://obama.senate.gov/votes/

BTW … Biden has a 100% voting record

It will be interesting to read what you all might find ….

Sorry to delay to respond...I've been away from cell phones, computers, etc.

It was my pleasure to share this information .....

I've been paying attention to the news reports here (Europe) of the elections in the US. It's interesting where they put the emphasis .... Biden isn't even mentioned .... the Republicans are considered "fast forward" material and the democratic race seems to be between Obama and Clinton. They also noted that all candidates took the opportunity of the recent assassination to taut their expertise of foreign affairs. And all economic analysis is gaging the impact of the next two years of change globally and especially change in the US....change in the EU....growth in China and India....corruption in Africa, the dimming light.....change in oil power throughout the Middle East....change in economic, diplomatic power of Russia.

There's a lot on the plate of foreign affairs...hope is that the global changes move back on the scale toward peace.

Micheal Moore wrote an interesting newsletter today....about who voted for what....you can find it on his web site if you are curious.

    Happy New Year to All.
