Who can share your diagnosis of IBC- how did it start?? I already had surgery for stage1BC estrogen posit, no nodes- tamoxifen 2 yrs- had Rads- no problem or rash w/ rads, but have developped rash- to the left side of affected breast and underneath a bruise like patch- now my Oncologist- said give it two weeks and if not better- will have biopsy-( but of what)= there is no lump? the skin?? My radiation oncologist saw it too- said nothing to worry about- I asked about IBC- said not to worry- but I am really scared and worried- the creams( benedryl ) don't help- I next see a dermatologist- but not for a wk= really concerned- In my heart- it doesn't feel like it is just a rash- I never saw anything like it. -
I hope its something simple. If not or if you have questions stay in touch.

Hi Kimmie
Could you tell me how you got your diagnosis of IBC- ???Thanks

I am in the middle of something similar. Huge red breast one year after radiation. Drs. are saying most likely radiation recall. The redness has subsided into a rashy looking skin over most of my breast. They are not a matched pair, but the Dr. does not seem worried. I have another MRI in mid January. First one showed no lumps and a skin biopsy was negative. Look up radiation recall (Complete phrase) to see a possibility of what is going on. HOwever, continue to get it checked out.

Hi,
Its a long and frustrating story but the most important parts are- If you feel somethings wrong dont let anyone second guess you!!!!!!!
. Insist on a biopsy or at the very least a MRI. If insisting doesnt work then demand. If I had listened to the first 3 docs I probably would not be here now.
The docs dont know enough and most are to arrogant to admit or even consider it. I had doctors dismiss my concerns and tell me I was just wrong. In the end I knew my body better than they did (go figure). And Im was unfortunately right. The rest is history.
I hope more than you know that yours is NOT IBC.
Im sure you are an intelligent women. Dont forget that.

Hi I am Kathy. Scheduled for surgery 1/22 bilateral mast. same confusing question have a rash as well as a diag of invasive ductal car. not sure what type of cancer i have, doctors say it is a complicated case, i am scared, angry, jealous of women could really use some support, can anyone help me or have any sugguestion?
-
Hi Kathy,
I know how scared you must be feeling. Have your docs biopsied the rashy area? I would think that if they suspect IBC that they may do chemo before your mast. I would definitely seek another docs opinion before the surgery.
Please hang in there and know that we will be here for you. Please ask any questions.
Hugs and Prayers,
Lexi
