    Hi everyone,

Has anyone else had low WBC counts 2 years out of chemo?  I read on the internet today that normal range is 4000 to 10000.  Mine continue to be around 3000.  I am not getting sick or anything, but it just bugs me that my immune system doesn't seem to be up to snuff.  Especially since some doctors consider cancer to be a immune system malfunction.  That in some people the immune system will beat cancer and they will never know they had it.  Anyone?

    Thanks, Shannon

My wbc hovers between 3000-4000, 18 months post chemo.  my hemoglobin and platelet count are close to the lower level of normal.  My onc was not concerned.  I am a physician; I occasionally see people without cancer whose wbc is 3500 or so.

Check out your vitamin b12 level - my oncologist did, and it was super low, which he said explains my low WBC.  I'm scheduling vitamin b12 injections today!
