HER2/neu Positive Breast Cancer

Is Herceptin for non-estrogen receptive patients???  I'm told I should have hormonal therapy w/radiation for both breast (one unaffected) because my mother died of breast cancer, and I am not estrogen receptive.

    Herceptin is for HER pos ladies regardless of ER/PR status. My tumor was er pr neg, and her pos so no hormonal tx for me initially ( my moms BC was er/pr pos too )

    anyway, I had a prophylactive left  ( my BC was right ) and that showed atypia and hyperplasia . Becuase of THIS I was placed on Tamoxifen. Was on for one yr, and the was discontinued due to side effects.
