looking for volunteers to participate in a research study at Washington University of Medicine in St. Louis Missouri.

    Here is the info:

    YOUNG WOMEN'S BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri is doing research to identify genetic factors that distinguish breast cancer in younger women compared to older women.

They are recruiting young women from all over the country.

You are eligible to participate if you were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer when you were 40 or younger (it doesn't matter how old you are currently).

    Women will be asked to:

    *sign a consent form

    *submit a blood sample

    *release their cancer related records

*allow Washington University to ask them about their family history

A woman's parents are also invited to participate as controls, though a woman may participate without her parents.

Information about this program can be found at ywbcp.wustl.edu

If you are interested, or want to learn more, you may contact

Jennifer Ivanovich, MS at: 314 454-5076 or jen@ccadmin.wustl.edu

This information was sent to me by WomenCARE of Santa Cruz, an organization that helps support women with cancer in many ways. I pass this along purely for your information. I am a BC survivor with Truncal Lymphedema, and I often participate in conversation threads related to LE.

Please pass this info along to any others who might be interested.

    grace
