    My Mom has IBC she has gone through her 8 cycles of chemo which ended in October and she has surgery scheduled for Monday.. But Yesterday she told me that she can feel her breast swelling again...during chemo it has receded a lot and now it's starting swell again. I know that surgery is only 5 days away but I'm freaking out!!!  What should I do?? I left a msg with her onc, I'm just hoping and praying that they will still be able to do her surgery on Monday!!  Has anyone had this happened to her before??

    IBC can grow back rapidly. Why don't you call your Mom's surgeon also and let them know of the circumstances. Perhaps they wish to examine her and consider their scheduled time frame.
