East Coast Girl - dsgirl is right, I take 3x500mg capsules every night. Good luck with the sleep, so good to shut it off for awhile isn't it? Stupid cancer.

Thanks everyone!! Yes, FAST MOVING TRAIN for sure!!
and dsgirl I got my Glycine from iherb.com.....:) No venturing out into the cold, I can read reviews first and get at a cheaper price then B&M stores!.
-
That train must be a speeding bullet - you girls move so fast - hard to keep up.
-
Okay ladies - here is today's dessert. Yes, you can have it before your dinner - There is a saying "Life's too short - eat dessert first"
-
Jo, this looks awesome!!

East Coast Girl
Thanks, I never did think about the internet for the glycine, I live in a small town, 5000 population, but we do happen to have a Walmart and I was planning to check there, very cold, icy, frozen pipes etc, staying warm inside though. I will check out the internet for the Glycine. Thanks

I got my glycine at a local health food store. I am taking 1 1000 mg capsule at night. It does seem to help but not as much as I was hoping. Last night I took it and 1/2 an ambien and slept most of the night.
This thread does move very fast. I try not to even miss a day but still get behind. If any of you want to do the FB thing I can be found in Jackson MI but with my common name of Peggy Taylor it may be tough. Make sure if you send a request to say who you are on this thread as it makes it easier to make the connection.
-
Jo, how are you feeling?
-
I was trying to upload a picture for my avatar and it told me that it wasn't the right picture type. Anyone know what file type it has to be. The picture I was trying to use was a jpeg.
-
Alicia,
I can't find you on FB... I will keep looking for Alicia in Long Island...
Barbie,
Did you see my ad for my AVON on FB? I have been selling AVON for 2 years now, but am only just now trying to promote the AVON on FB.
Alicia

June - Found the solution for taking T and no nausea - Milk! Have done it 3 times now and back to feeling good. Who would have ever thought? Don't know what make me think of it. I have always been a big milk drinker so this should be a piece of cake.
Have an appt with the surgeon tomorrow afternoon for my test results - CT and bone scans. Anxious to hear what he has to say. Really want to figure out what has been causing the burning sensation that started on Jan 2. Will let everyone know what I find out.
I live in deep south Texas and I am freezing my a$$ off. Not supposed to happen. Joints in my toes are killing me - started after T and the cold is not helping. Feeling great these days except the toess. Have to keep them as warm as possible - this too shall pass - gonna warm up in a few days and life will be good again.
-
Wow it took me forever to catch up.
Tink - so sorry about your kitty!! We have two dogs and two cats, all relatively young, but I am already dreading the day when they are gone.
Jo - so glad you found a soluition for your nausea.
I am on FB and would love to connect with any of you!

jo1955: I have been following this thread for quite a while since I have been on tamox since Oct 09. I can't remember exactly when it started for me but I started having alot of foot pain--it would hurt so much just to get out of bed and stand up in the morning. I started taking glucosamine and chondroitin and it has really helped!! Maybe it would help with your toe pain. Hope your scan results are ok and your surgeon has some good advice about your burning sensation.
Harley: Hi and welcome back aboard. I had an onc appt last week. I'll be on tamox at least until October, then she may switch me to an AI. I'll be having a bone density test done the week before my next appt so we'll know my baseline. I'm kind of nervous about the possible change since I've heard the SE's are worse with AI's. How was it for you?

Hannabearsmom - Good idea about the glucosamine/chondroitin. I used to take it for my degenerative joint disease in my hands but the cost got to be too much. I can consider going back to it for awhile. Right now Bayer Back and Body does a good job the the other would be better.
Get CT & Bone scan results tomorrow afternoon. We are having icy conditions here tonight - not supposed to happen in deep South Texas - hope the roads are clear and I can get to the appt. Already got a confirmation call from the surgeon so I guess they plan on being there. Temps are supposed to get above freezing by mid morning and the sun is supposed to come out. If that happens, I am good to go.
Will post results when I get them'
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes - the closer I get, the more nervous I am.
-
-
awww precious kitty!!!!
love that!
-
Thanks - it is awfully cute.
-
tinker,
sorry... this thread moves so fast, I can't keep anything straight! that's my story, and I'm sticking to it! LOL
HannaBears Mom
I took Femara, cause I had read that there were less se's from Femara. I had alot of joint stiffness. BUT, if you take extra vitamin D3, you should be ok. Oh, and I felt better when I exercised, so get regular exercise and take the D... I had to go off it, cause it caused bone loss. Ah, it's always SOMETHING! Now I am just worried that I will have more of those uterine polyps growing, from the Tamoxifen. That was worse than ANY of the se's I've had from the Femara.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.

-
Alicia hope you have a blast skiing. Jo, good luck with the scans.
Crazy, crazy weather. We went from the mid 70's Saturday, Sunday and Monday and have been below freezing since Mondy night/Tuesday morning. For you folks who are accustomed to the cold - hats off to you.
The water trough is frozen solid so now DH and I are having to haul water to the barn for the goats and horses. Tomorrow should see temps back up in the 50°'s.
-
Exodus where do you live in Texas. I am an hour south of Austin and we are sooooooo cold here and everything is frozen. The sun is out so things are starting to melt.
