IBC Metastases

Can someone tell me what tests can I do to ascertain definitively whether I have brain metastases or no? Will an MRI identify minute cancer cells?

    Hi,

    A brain scan should show if you have brain mets. Even early stage, which will be easier to zap! If you have been having headaches that have lasted more than a couple of weeks, I would ask your doc to schedule a scan. But, please know, I went through the same scare last year. I was quite positive that I may have brain mets and all they found was an "unremarkable" brain! It isn't always a good thing to be consisdered unremarkable, but in this case I was very happy!

    Have you ask your oncologist?  Seems to me no test can locate minuet cancer cells but I could be wrong.

    Let us know what you find out.

    Can someone tell me what a brain with IBC  metastases looks like? Anyone with pictures of IBC cancer cells? How are these cells different from other types of cancer cells? I am confused.
