Let's conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer

I don't mind THIS guys hillbillie beard, & sincerely hope he is not giving anybody BC!!!
-
....(I am pretty sure he's given me a hot flash or two)
-
Tomboy - Nope not BC... *spat-coffee-syndrome.... Yowza! 💋
-
Charlie Hunam, made famous several years back in 'Sons of Anarchy'. I think he's Australian? I usually don't care if guys take their shirts off, but he kinda got my attention. Sorry about the coffee!
-
When I was a young girl, I wanted to grow up & marry Atticus Finch. & I never saw him without his shirt off! (edited to say: With his shirt OFF! Der.)
-
I had posters of Peter Frampton and John Travolta in my room one was on the ceiling over the bed... Hmm also watched David Cassidy, the monkeys, I also loved McMillan and wife... And magnum PI... I went to quite a few parties with strobe lights blazing, and drank a little bunch punch and laser shows at concerts were beginning...i practically bathed in Charlie or Jovan musk but in my junior year in HS my go to became Lauren.. Any wonder I got BC?
-
Happy to see this thread resurrected but you all have gotten far away from the original absolute cause which was (and probably still is) housework and the associated dust bunnies. I will never, never ever, be convinced otherwise. (But wearing those pants, what were they called, with the stretch bands that went under your feet? may have had a hand in the cause.)
-
ROFL @ Atticus Finch!!!
Patoo - stirrup pants...I had a pair of pink ones with a side zipper....as garish as my big hair!
Ok, so after much thought it might have been caused by red meat consumption, but then realized it wasn’t the meat....My cancer was brought onby senior citizens!!!
-
Tomboy - I don’t think that lovely young man would cause cancer....heart palpitations, high blood pressure, dry eye syndrome from staring, dry mouth and dental issues from the mouth being permanently open, along with the hot flashes!
-
Yes Egads007, stirrups! And all those things you list to Tomboy causes stress which causes cancer so we can keep him on the list.
-
Damn! I was going to invite him for dinner!
-
Patoo 👏I agree... Still housework! Lol
Egads if you invite for dinner, you will need extra help... *you know, dishes and stuff... 😎 rofl
Y'all are killin me... Bahahaha... Too funny... Tanks, i needed that!
-
pattoo, hey. Since being diagnosed, I have avoided housework like the plague. So far so good, no more bc!!!
-
Tomboy - OMG THANK YOU!!! I’m throwing out all the cleaners, mops etc!!! Alive5 that means no dishes...we’ll have to arm wrassle for him...I warn ya’ I’ve been working out!
Who am I kidding? Alive5 will probably trounce me and Patoo & Tomboy will slide in and take the dude out to a restaurant!
That’s what caused my cancer..pipe dreams lol
-
Damn it Tomboy I am still doing housework!!! No one told me about housework????!!!!! Geeeeeeeeezzzzzz do I now have to be worried about reccurrence????? Cuz, I can stop immediately......like seriously immediately....no problems there.....
-
peacetoall, you Know it!! Ha! Who knew RIght! 😂
"I DUSTED ONCE....
I AIN'T FALLING FOR THAT AGAIN!"
😜

Um. It's a dangerous world out there. Today, I have to phone to make doc appointments, (STRESS) , & also figure out what's for dinner... then go get it. More stress. Lucky thing tho~ my man is ALMOST as handsome as the guy up there, & after dinner, we watch a movie together. On his bed, that I did not make, so it's sort of messy. Heaven. So there's that. Stir fry veggies over rice will keep the c~buggers away?
-
Alive for five: LOVE your post!!! 'Ain't fallin' for THAT again'!!! Heh heh. & Tee hee.
-
Ahhhh, belly laughs may be a cause too so, please, stop it. I can't have anything in my mouth, especially liquid, reading here. And my belly is right under my breasts, I mean, sticking out under them so, stop. I've lasted 10 years without so much as a blip on my mammos or anything in my labs, so, stop before you jeopardize my health.
Love you all!
-
Love you too, patoo!
-
You all are cracking me up, then I came across the picture of Jax (swoon) so have we determined one root cause? big hair hairspray? stirrup pants? what about Love's baby soft? I didnt see it mentioned! (may have missed it tho) I've never been big on housework, so can't blame that on it. I've come to the conclusion its just the Men in our lives. Period. if not husband/boyfriend, then fathers, brothers, sons, friends, coworkers, BOSSES, all the stress they provided over the years It has to be that. Its all Men's fault. or Avon, who HASN'T had Avon in their lives at some point. has to be that..
-
Hmmmm, Onejeno. You are making a very strong case. Even the very good man in my life right now~ we've been together 18 years now~ stresses me. Because he's pretty darn good, and I KNOW he deserves better'n me. Really. I had known him, worked with him, and saw whom he had dated before we got together. Actually, I decided that even tho i was already in love/lust with him, he was going to be MINE! Because I don't think he knew I existed at that point, except as a very capable carpenter/ painter/ builder of sets, etc.
And so, summer was over, and we had worked together for the last eight months on a big job. During that time, we had had a few dates, and discovered that we really just really enjoyed each others company. So, he invited me to come to Los angeles for a few weeks while I figured out what I wanted to do next, job wise. I came with a backpack. And I have never left. I forgot to ask him what he thinks about that.
Really, it was pretty funny, at the sort of one year anniversary of being together, living, working, playing~ I asked him if he would like to renew that contract for another year! So we did. And another year, and another year, till, here we are, actually getting old(er) together!
But the women he knew before, two of whom I had seen, they were slender, willowy, tall, ~ they stood up straight. They had all their teeth. They looked like models, really, and they were smart~ with very good CAREERS, with many years of college. Not me.
Plus I talk back. And question my good fortune in finding him. I ask myself, 'Why? Why? Why?'. He is the one good very dependable Quantity in my life. Ever.
I do know it bugs him that I am reading/ watching too much news lately. I agree with that assessment, though, because it's like watching a slow motion crash. That I can't tale my eyes off of.
Welcome to BCO.

I've decided that our hellish summer (110 for four days running so far) must cause cancer, or at least it has addled my brain. Texans get cabin fever during the summer, not during the (often glorious 60s in December) winter.
-
SNAKES! Why do they show them on TV, when everyone knows they cause cancer? Nobody ever got cancer from watching baby hedgehogs. Why don't they show THAT? Sheesh. Im calling the FCC right now!

Actually there may be a grain of truth to that housework! The question about the high frequency of cancer on the Cape led to a theory about carcinogens being in household dust....kid you not. Who would know dusting was bad...lol.
As a side note: talking about older hot men, I use to have a crush on Paul Newman. Loved those baby blues. Staring at them must have contributed to my cancer.
-
I definitely agree it must be men. They are everywhere! But I'm 10 years out now and NED so that must be because my house is so dirty. Hasn't seen a broom since 2008.
Great story Tomboy. Guess he's decided to keep you.
-
Girls, girls! You have let this thread go...how are others going to know what causes cancer if we don't share?! Now, I'm pretty sure that going to see the movie "Empire Strikes Back" 23 times in the movie theatre caused my cancer. I mean, how many times can one watch Harrison Ford say, "I know" and then get frozen and shipped off to Boba Fett before irrevocable harm is done to the viewer....it could have also been all that popcorn, too!
-
Today I'm convinced it is working for a moron. If I stay there too long the handwriting is on the wall...
-
hilarious thread!!! 😂😂😂😂
One of my (actual) paranoid self-cancer blame thoughts was that all the meat I ate in grad school must’ve done it and pushed my cancer cells over the edge.
It is quite amazing what our minds can do to ourselces
