Let's conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer

Welcome Peblos...yeah over the hump.
Raging hormones...yes must be why ER/PR 95%...hot tamale
-
Have read the entire thread! For me, it was all the poison ivy I had, and the calamine lotion mom put on it.
This is for Patoo, let the dust bunnies reign
-
Spookie,, you are a hoot! I'm up in Gainesville,, where are you?? -
Spookie, perfect for me tonight...I just finished fishing dust bunnies out of my sewing machine.
-
i gotta get the dust bunnies at night by flashlight, cause they become invisible by day!
-
Glennie, we've talked, I'm next to Clearwater.
-
Oh, right,, I forgot! Silly me!!
-
It's the heat. Yeah. That must have caused the bc. All those fried brain cells sliding down our necks,,,,,,,Ewww
-
I've decided. Although piano, and dust bunnies are sure to be a contributor... I do believe it to have been from...laundry! ALL that laundry for all these years!!! Gosh, I'm nearly sure of it, really!

I had said previously I think it was from drinking tang, found this funny commercial, check out the
guy's face when he drinks it so funny!
-
OK Heat, dust bunnies, piano, washing dishes, then throw in some Tang. Perfect recipe for breast cancer. Yuck
I could be talked into the Tang theory. Here's my story: Walked in appliance center to buy new dish washer. We were getting overnight company and the inside of the dw was stained brown from some mineral(s) in our well water. Sales lady says you don't need a new dishwasher, all you need to do is pour in some Tang! Sure enough, about a 1/2 cup of Tang and we were good to go. So the mineral (s) in our water leave a residue, and fake orange juice cures it!!!
Keep up the good work ladies, Jan
-
Lilyn, great link to the Tang commercial. Ironically, my sister drank a ton of it, whereas I didn't, but guess who got BC? I'm going to have to send her the link. Thanks!!
-
...well, ok! that tang commercial proves it!!! check out the two spinning images at the very beginning!! don't those look like.....BREASTS to you!!?!
-
JAN
Ewwwwwwwwww
We drank that stuff? And it works like LimeAway?
I just saw it in my grocery.
-
That is so funny Kathec the spinning breasts! Spookiesmom did you say you saw Tang in a grocery store, they still sell that stuff?
-
I did, and they do. Ewwwwww
-
wonder if it would work on my toilet bowl stains?
-
Check out Publix!!
-
Sounds like a good cleaning solution. And speaking of cleaning, that must be the cause
-
yes, cleaning causes resentments, which are what REALLY cause breast cancer. but, i've got a few problem areas, so i'm gonna go get me some tang! this is my favorite thread by a long shot, and i get positively giddy when i see someone has posted here!
-
Yes,, cleaning is definitely the cause of BC. And resenting cleaning even more so!!
I used to think how unfair it was, back in my childhood,, that I had to do dishes everyday, while my brother only had to cut the grass once a week.. where is the fairness there????
Will put Tang on the grocery list. Try it in the toilet bowl. I'll let you know if it works. I read somewhere that Coke will eat the stains.. That didn't work for me.
-
Hi all. Glad to see this thread still so popular. Thanks Spookiesmom but I just pretend they don't exist. Sometimes I open the windows and doors and hope the wind will just blow them out. (Nope, doesn't work!).
-
When I look back on my life, this is what gave me bc:
1.) Writing boys names with hearts all over my schoolbooks.
2.) wearing acid wash jeans that I had to lay down to do up.
3.) crimping my hair with Hairspray every day before school
4.) using sun-in hair stuff until my hair began falling out or putting my parents hard liquor in my empty hair spray bottles and then drinking it....eeeew!
5.) definitely mosquito repellent with DDT as far back as I remember
6.) cleaning and hence resentment of cleaning
7.) infatuation with Corey Hart, Duran-Duran and.....Ah-ha!
8.) fizz-whizz and pop-rocks and Archie comics
I will think of more...BTW glennie 19 I also did the dishes, vacuumed, etcetera. while my brother mowed once a week. Don't get me started!
-
Hmmm, hair spray! Yep, definite contender. If you know anything about black folks hair, hair spray made for white folk just won't work!!!!! (not back then anyhoo; nowadays with extensions, weaves, etc (neither of which I have) any hairspray you all use would be okay (but still probably give us BC).
-
see how bad white folks still are! im sure thats what gave all the white women BC! all the badnessess we did to people all over the world....but wait! it was the mens!!!
so not fair, just like you guys, my brothers never had to do all the stuff me and my sister had to do. and her and i both have been having resentments and grudges ever since!
-
Hi ladies! I love reading and lurking this thread! Just thought I'd share my 74 year old mothers thought on why I got BC.
I ate lots of toilet paper when I was little. Rolls and rolls of it. She announced that at the dinner table. I have no idea why they kept letting me eat it but they did. I STILL love the smell of charmin. lol
After laughing, I said," Ok momma i'll look up the studies to see if 1 in 8 women ate toilet paper as children if they did. You've just solved a mystery!
-
I've got scars from fighting with my sister while we cleaned up the kitchen together:)
-
Canuckmom, did you have to use a clotheshanger to zip the jeans when you laid down? We did.
-
it's amazing how many things have caused our BC. And cleaning the house with all those chemicals instead of being outside in the fresh air mowing the lawn definitely contributed. To this day I would rather do yard work over house work.
-
I used pliers to grab the little tab thingy.
