Let's conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer
Comments
-
It was those "exercises" we did to increase our bust size. Remember - "we must, we must, we must increase our bust". Our boobs got mad at us for disparaging them and - boom, bc.
Leah
P.S. And they didn't even work. Stayed size AA

I am way behind on this thread...I missed all the fun Causes for 26 pages!!!
Anyway...dh & I were discussing the Flu Shot (not the Swine)
He usually gets it. I just got it once. I could not move my arm for 2 months. It was in so much pain.
Knock on wood...I very rarely get a cold or the flu. Maybe every 5 years.
So I said to him...Thats why I got BC.
So many of us never seem to have gotten colds, etc. So our body was busy keeping us cold & flu free...it forgot to fight of the bc cells!

I blame it on ballet! All that ballet I did growing up (and all those tights and leotards I wore!!) kept my boobs small and then led to small angry boob syndrome (SABS?) which led to bc.
-
Mad boob disease...Ha! How funny LMAO
-
I used my poor boobs as a table for my plate for YEARS!! That prolly pissed em off just a lil. We may be onto something here.
-
Oh, I know - I got BC because my boobs wanted me to have the lumpectomy so they could be different sizes. They didn't like being twins so now one is a B and one is an A.
-
I just found this thread, thanks for the laugh ladies, I really needed it today!
-
Maybe laughing causes breast cancer??
-
Oh, oh, if it does we are all gonna have recurrences!!!! Hmmmmm, the more and harder you laugh the larger the lump? Maybe I'll force myself to cry from now on reading this thread.
There, does that work? -
Patoo, perhaps you are the reason we all have BC since you make us laugh all the time!!
Thanks for all the laughs!
-
I think mine was from the green and purple Toughskins I wore as a child. Those jeans did not fade or deteriorate in any way ever no matter the stress you put them through. Whatever chemicals they used in those must've been absorbed through the skin and caused the BC. I knew they were a problem, should've fought my mom harder when she insisted on them.

Oh, well thanks. Maybe being blamed for something when you are an innocent bystander is what gives one BC. I have 2 sisters and a brother. When something went down and nobody would 'fess up, we all got whupped! My bratty brother (the youngest) was the apple of my mom's eye and so could do no wrong. So, of course, he was usually the culprit but the rest of us - innocent bystaners - got whupped!
That's what gave me BC, getting a whupping because "back in the day" it was allowed (by parents or the neighbors!)
-
I had a dream last night of the 80's and big hair. I had huge hair, both in my dream and in the eighties. I remember using this new styling product Instant Freeze. Just a little spray and vavooom, your hair would stay up all day! You can't put your shirt on till after you use it or it makes your clothes stiff! I know some of it landed on my boobs! I still use it (well, did when I had hair, now DH was using it to spike his doo until he had me shave his head last night in support of my bald head)
I shudder to think of the girls I got started on the Instant Freeze addiction in the eighties! My class reunion is tonight. I may have to give a speech about it's evils. BEWARE.......or at least wear a shirt while spritzing!
course it could be all the beer I drank before I turned 21. hmmmm, so many options.
-
Well Pamelajo, good thing your DH shaved his to support you. Just think, men get BC too so you actually saved his life! Tell him that and hold it over him for the rest of his days - you can really get lots of shiny jewelry LOL.
-
My sister just told me she heard coffee causes calcifications. So, for me I guess it is Starbuck's fault. I said no, coffee might promote fibrocystic breasts. She said I was in denial. Thanks, sis!
-
I've never drank a cup of coffee in my life and I have calcifications..........maybe martinis cause them?
-
oh good grief - I hope it is not beer!
-
Don't worry, it's not beer or coffee - can't stand either one.
Now doesn't that relieve your mind?
Leah
-
Wine Coolers? Daiquiris? Margaritas? Sangria?
-
No, no. Patoo! We need that stuff after we're diagnosed! Don't even think it!
Leah
-
phew!!
-
Actually there is a connection to alcohol
-
Sure there is. Drink enough of it and you forget your pain, agony, stress... Unfortunately the stupor wears off and you're left with BC and a headache! < sigh >
-
Oh Patoo, your boobs being twins can't be the problem, mine were already uneven, and got the cancer in the smaller one, so now I'm really lop sided. I told my surgeon that it's just not right to get the cancer on that side, should have been on the bigger side then maybe I would be even lol
-
I got it from living on the Air Force bases and traveling all over the world.
Hawaii too.
-
Patoo what were you thinking?
-
uh oh - I was an "army brat" and we travelled all around as a kid too. Or was it from not travelling and staying in the same house for 25 years when it was my choice?
-
I still think the government did it, I grew up surrounded by airforce bases, still live there. Who knows what kind of stuff they were putting into the air when I was growing up, but then I suppose everyone who grew up here would have it if that were the case
-
Tamara, some are found sooner than others. I think you should go on a door knocking campaign and warn all your neighbors to run for the hills. Tell them to not bother taking any of their possessions because they may contain bc cells. They should abandon the houses. Then we who already have bc can come and go on a treasure hunt. We will leave money, of course, for any goodies we find. Yeah, we'll leave a check but since they have abandoned the houses and will be afraid to return the checks will never get cashed. But, hey, we paid for the stuff, right? Okay, okay, better go take my meds.
-
Tamara, of course the government did it. It's a conspiracy, isn't it? Isn't it?
Patoo, please pass the meds.
