3 years ago my sister was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The cancer has been in her bones, but now her onc is sure her bone marrow is involved as well. She is tripple neg, has been on Xeloda already and not responsive to hormone therapy. What kind of chemo will she get and how effective is chemo for her? Thank you

    Sake,

I don't know a lot about this, other than must research centers do bone marrow transplants.  They first find bone marrow match and than kill your own marrow and than transplant the matched marrow.

I've read good and bad about this???

I've read and been told by the onc that bone marrow transplants don't work for breast cancer patients and are not done anymore....
