Cinnamon Capsules + Femara=Problems???
I was just wondering. I read that cinnamon capsules could help with lowering glucose and ldl in our blood. Does anyone know if this would interfere in any way with Femara? I am on meds for my cholesterol, and am noticing a rise in my blood sugars. Just wondering if I might be able to head off yet ANOTHER medical problem.
Thanks.

Jennifer, I've been taking cinnamon caps morning & night for about a year, since my glucose began to climb steadiy, on femara.
(First I ignored it.Never had high blood glucose.Wrong thing to do.It kept climbing.)
It's fine,no problems, cinnamon doesnt disturb anything.
You could (mix a spoonful with water, I guess and take it that way, )but it seems expensive and not easy to take, like capsules are.And one certainly wouldnt want to mix it w/sugar & strew over oatmeal!
I had bloodwork done recently and the cinnamon has helped! It hasnt lowered my glucose, but glucose hasnt raised either,And it WAS steadily on the rise before the cinnamon.
Here is a "recipe" for a healthful breakfast I just read somewhere. It tickled me because this is what I eat for breakfast! It's fast and very healthful!
2 slices whol grain whole wheat bread.Toast them.
Spread with almond butter.(NOTHING but ground almonds.)
Open face sandwich:
Each slice of toast gets freshly sliced apple, sprinkled
with...cinnamon!!
I hadnt thought of the apple/cinnamon thing. It's great!
The "recipe" listed all the vitamins, minerals and healthful ingredients and what each did.
You can guess. And aside from healthful fats, almond butter is very high in calcium and mag.
Have fun! j

Thanks, Joan!
My dr. said "don't worry", but I want to nip this in the bud before it gets any higher. I think I saw the cinnamon capsules in Walgreens the other day. May go for those. Like you said, it could be a bit cheaper. The breakfast sounds delicious!! Though not a fan of apples, I may try this. I love almonds..........mmmmmm-almond butter!! I can almost taste it already.
Thanks again!!

Go for it, Jen!
Glad you're happy!
