I have been really down lately, dealing with depression and the after effects of my masectomy.  I've wallowed in self pity and part of me is ashamed of it.

But recently we've had wonderful news!  My wife and I are already expecting a brand new baby girl due in early December; we just have to fly over to bring her home!  I regret not being able to nurse her, as I did all my bio-babies and one of our adoptive ones, but still, it's incredible to have another baby in the house.  Then, to add to things, we found out yesterday that one of my step-daughters is making us "Grandma's" in six short months.  (Actually, I'll be Grandmama and Lissie will be "Grandma" because our kids call me "Mama" and Liss "Ma" so it works!)  Also, because I took early retirement to stay with our younger children, I can care for her new baby while our daughter continues her career, so I'll have a virtual herd to look after!  I guess what I'm saying is life looks good, inspite of everything else.

Anyway, I'm kind of new here but I am over the moon with joy and just wanted to tell everyone!

    Anna

Congratulations Anna.  You, of course know, that you now have to learn how to post pics on this site because you just can't announce new babies and not let us see them.  Smile
