Hello ladies, I am looking for a little help here. I had a lumpectomy on the lower half of my left breast. So basically I look normal from the top up but I am missing the complete bottom half of my left breast. Now my problem is this, because I am missing the lower half of my breast, my bra on that side rides up. I will look down at my shirt and that side of my bra will be sticking out. So my question is this, do you girls have any suggestion on how to overcome this problem? Or, for those of us who are new to having had an unrequested makeover from cancer, maybe some websites for falsies or specialty bras or even advice for our new really short hairstyles.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

After my rads I got a bad infection and they had to remove the bottom of my breast too. You may want to try those silicone "cutlettes" that you put into your bra. They feel silicone implants to the touch, soft and movable. They were originally made to give more cleavage by pushing up the breasts. But I found they filled in where I was lacking.

I would bet a mastectomy boutique might have something like them. Any good lingerie store carries them as well.

I with I could be more helpful.

The thread on Breast prothesis will give some insite on where to go for these.

One of the ladies on that thread has created a website for those who need 'falsies'.

The American Cancer Society "tlc" site has silicone thingies, you can look them up on line they have all sizes and shapes to fill out your bras.  You can order 24/7, too.

Go to your local bra store that does prostheses. There are lots of littler "lumpectomy forms" that can help and, if you've got a good fitter she'll figure out something for you.
