I have been under the impression for the past 2 and a half years that triple negative status was very rare. The other women I've spoken with have all been positive and been able to take Tamoxifen. Honestly, I'm so relieved to see your experiences as triple negatives in a more positive light. This can be such a terrifying journey to go through and I have done so by not obsessing on statistics and grim prognosis. Many people who don't know that I had cancer don't believe it at first until I tell them of my 8 doses of chemo and 30 radiation treatments. Keeping a cheerful spirit has helped me deal with this monster- I have a "sneaky" cancer- supposedly it grew around a cyst, therefore no mammogram or sonogram caught it. So, I am so happy to have found you- I rarely get on the computer.                                                                             Thanks so much

welcome madri. I am very new here as well. I like your attitude and spirit and feel blessed to have found such a group of people filled with such wisdom.

I found out today that now I am actually ER+2% PR+2% after being told I was a triple negative from the needle biopsy. I have no idea if that is even the least bit significant. I just know I'm obsessed with reading everything I can get my hands on to learn.
