Body workers??

having finished with surgery, chemo and rads....i feel ready to befriend my body again. i live in los angeles and would like to find a body worker/massage therapist with experience in dealing with breast CA clients.  can anyone recommend someone???

    I'm no where near there but how about checking in with local cancer centers - even my little community hospitals in rural Massachusetts have body workers now. I'd think in Hollywood they would be in the drinking water.  Good luck finding a good one!

    Holly, I know an excellent body worker here in San Diego. She's not just a massage therapist but has her HHP, also (Holistic Health Practitioner, which in CA requires quite a bit of extra training and knowledge). If you would like I can ask her if she has a colleague in your area that she thinks highly of - I'm going to see her as soon as these wound dressings are history.

    Just a comment...if you've had lymph nodes removed or radiated, you might want  your massage therapist to treat the arm on that side carefully, if at all, due to possible lymphedema risk.  I have a massage therapist I love, and we've just agreed that he doesn't touch that arm.
