Sharing a Prayer

I want to share a prayer a friend wrote for me. My husband, 2 grown sons, and several of my friends prayed it out loud, holding hands in the hospital cafeteria during my lumpectomy and lymphodectomy. It is so beautifully written, no one could get through it without crying. They just kept taking turns passing it to the next person when the lump in their throat made it impossible to for them to continue. My friend Sandi Bowen is the author and you have her permission to use it, print it, copy, paste etc. I love this woman!

Dear heavenly father,

I lift __________ up into your loving hands today. She is your child father. You know her. You know all about her anxiety, her fears, you know the number of hairs on her head. You placed this wondrous human among us Lord and today I am asking for your divine intervention. I pray that when they enter her body Lord they are able to get all the cancer and she will be spared the chemo. But I also pray that if she must go through it, that you will be with her and her family every step of the way. Medicine is limited Lord, but your power isn't. I pray that you will be in the surgical room with her; that you will place your protective armor around her, that you will be in the hands of the surgeon and guide those hands to get all the cancer out. I also pray that her recovery be swift and miraculous. I thank you Lord for this miracle I am seeking, knowing through your word that our prayer will be answered. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
