Everytime I get onto my AOL account I "get" to find out what's up with Brit.

Now the rags are saying that she missed her child visit. First they sounded like she slept through it, last night some (un)reliable source said she didn't answer the ring at the gate because the parenting counselor was with the children and she didn't want to be watched or told how to interact with her kids.  So she left them all waiting.

Good grief. If that's true, and I hope it isn't, is there any shred of caring about your children in that?

None of us like to be told what to do, and most of us here have felt resentment at the stuff we get told to do, but would any of us leave our children at the gate?  I think not!

OK, so I heard on the radio this morning on my way to work that Britney has submitted an application for a bartender position at some swank hotel. I don't think her album will do that poorly! In fact, 'Gimme, Gimme' is becoming a bit of a hit. I like it   But really, substance abusers rarely make good bartenders, ya know? I wish that she would just disappear into a serious rehabilitation program for awhile or, perhaps, find a good, effective therapist. She can turn this around still...if she wakes up in time.

It's all really so sad....
