I completed Herceptin 3 weeks ago. (I would have gone in for treatment yesterday.) I don't feel well today.  Are there withdrawal symptoms to Herceptin?  How long do they last?  What helps?

I had no symptoms of withdrawal.  I felt good when I finished and felt "better" with less sinus congestion which had been something I dealt with for the year I was on Herceptin.

You may have picked up a viral bug if it's not withdrawal.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has felt the way you are feeling.  Hope it passes soon.

I had no withdrawal at all. I felt a bit better once I was away from it after a whole year.

The only withdrawal I had was missing my chemo nurses. Those girls were absolutely awesome!Laughing

Tired. That is what I remember. I was so tired.  For a long time. It has been over a year since my last Herceptin and I have my energy back.

I had a year of Hercepten which finished on 20 November, I am now experiencing what I believe to be Hercepten Withdrawel. I think this because all the body ache and nose sores are worse than ever. All my Hercepten reactions are magnified . I can't wait to have this pain in my past .

Mothpowder, please say more about your nose sores. I had them on the inside of my nose, and they were similar to cold sores. We ruled out a fever blister outbreak because they did not respond to acyclovir. My MO thought the sores were caused by taxotere, and he reduced my dose. The sores did diminish, but I still had them. Are you also getting one of the taxanes?

I know this is an old thread, but figured I'd add to it. My last Herceptin was over a month ago, and the biggest side effect is irregularity. I had mild diarrhea (very mild and only a couple of times a day) for the whole year. I'm on week 5 without and constipated for the first time since starting it. My diet is HIGH in fruits, vegetables and whole grains...at least 10 servings a day, so it came as quite a surprise. So that and a hemorrhoid ....but feel great otherwise.
