I am new to your boards, my mom was diagnoses 15 months ago with triple negative, node negative bone cancer 1.8 cm stage 1-2 cancer, had 4 treatments of a/c and no taxol as she is 73 and the cancer wiped her out.  Now 8 months later in the past ten days after complaining about backl pain she has a metastis on t11 and spots on the lung. Am I in the right message room or should this be with the triple negatives.  Can anyone give me any idea what they will be doing and is there any hopeful stores I could have.  How could this have happend when no nodes when no nodes were invoved.  Does no one get follow up with stage 1 unless you have symptoms? What kind of treatment do you get at this time?  Please help all I do is go around crying. The doctor thinks the spots are breast cancer related.  She is having a biopsy next week and seeing a radiologist today because of pain.  She could not start the Zometa because we need a port in cause she has no veins.  Thank you for all the information you can give me.  When I am not trying to spend time with her I am on my computer constatly searching, and my family is ready to kill me.  Concerned daugher

I'm so sorry for yours and your mother's pain. This will be a good place for you to get answers, support and hope. Try also asking your question on the 'Recurrence and metastasis' board...those ladies know alot about treatments for mets, etc. Also, you might want to post on the section for family members to share some of the issues related to being the daughter of someone with BC. There are certainly others there who can relate and help out.
