costumes for your team?

Has anyone made simple costumes for the walk teams?  Our team leader wants tutus and if anyone has a recommendation for a simple tulle skirt, I would appreciate it. Last year we wore "save the TaTas" tank tops.....

You could cut the tulle twice the waist measurement, gather it and sew it on a 1 or 2 inch wide grograin ribbon waist band longer than the waist measurement and tie the ends together. The length could be determined by how long you wanted it. if the tulle is 60 in wide, cut in half for 30 in skirt length and use double layer for a fuller skirt.

If you need more specific instructions, pm me and I will try to write up better directions.

thanks, Sheila.  I might have to experiment for how long we want them.  This sounds easy enough to run up a bunch of them, we could just wear them over our walking shorts.

That was what I was thinking. Also if you use the wider ribbon, fold it in half and sew the tulle on one side, fold the ribbon over the tulle and stitch the edges together to make it more secure to the ribbon. By using the ribbon and tying it together, you could make them 'one size fits most'. (I won't say all because there are exceptions to every rule)

I have had plenty of experience sewing on the fly and without a pattern.
