Just what am I?

I don't know what to call myself as my tests came back ER-PR+but very, very weakly so and Her-.  My onc said there would not be much benefit to giving me AI's esp. in light of the fact that she discovered I am ostopenic and osteoporotic in various areas. (Big shock!) So, not being treated as + even though technically am.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around this one.

Yes, I know you're not doctors, but maybe someone has heard of this situation?

This sounds like you may be lucky.

You get the benefits of not having to take an AI while the PR+ could potentially make your tumor less aggressive  than it would be if you were 100% er/pr -

    Just look forward.

You are a breast cancer survivor and on your way to living your life as normal as you can now.

    Good luck!!!

nosurrender, I like the way you think!

Well, I had bc 15 years ago with lumpectomy/radiation.  That tumor was so small it was hard to tell what it was but they gave me Tamoxifen, which I took for as long as I could tolerate it, about 18 months.

New tumor in same breast is described as above. They don't know if it's a recurrence or different tumor entirely. In the meantime, I didn't worry about it and intend not to worry about it this time around.  It's a little harder getting back to normal after a mastectomy/implant recon and we're still tweaking things.  But, I'm on my way back to normal Wink
