This might have been posted elsewhere, but here goes anyway ... For those who followed the KOMO video last year about IBC and my fellow IBC sisters who may not know, Patti B lost her beloved daughter Tina to the monster this past week. I did not know these women, but I suspect if ever there was true love and devotion shown by a mother for a sick daughter, I think it's all wrapped up in Patti B. Her focus on helping to spread the word about IBC is known from Australia to NA and onto Britain. Through her efforts, supported by others, the KOMO video spread like wildfire across the net; the State of Washington has been at the forefront of IBC advocacy and the clinic in Houston opened with the fanfare it deserved and action is happening. You can read the thoughts posted by so many at the support site. While Tina has become a Pathfinder, she's gifted those of us that remain fighting with a spirited advocate for IBC education and action. Gentle hugs of gratitude to them both! Patti, our sympathy goes out to you and your family. We all grieve.

It makes me so very sad to read about another loss to this disease. My heart aches for her mother being left behind.
